O.K. Everybody, the park is reserved and the fee paid, so it is ours.
The rules are no alcohol and no electric appliances.

We will be in Port Aransas as we are every year at the same time you have the RU. So disappointed. Really, really wanted to meet people that I feel have become friends. Have a great time and hug everybodys neck one extra time for me.

Basically you being what you can spare, and if you don't have many plants you can bring other items if you like.
We all pay $5.00 at the door to cover the park rental, and each person brings a small item for the door prize raffle, those are fun, and we all bring food to share. There is another thread for the food http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/769581/
we are still trying to decide which way to go on it, please read it and vote.

Maybe I should send out a D-Mail blast to every subscriber within a 75 mile radius of Fort Worth?

Well Dave, I have dmailed quite a few, and i am sure that if you do it a lot more will come,
but I am concerned that the pavilion is small and only holds about 50, so if it rains we could be in trouble. Please do what you think is best, and we will hope and pray for sunshine.

Dave please send it out!! 75 miles of Ft Worth would be wonderful - and if it rains we are all plant people right ? We know we dont melt!

Yep....the rain didn't stop us from enjoying the day in Red Oak did it Mitch? As long as there is room to have the food under pavillion cover and we bring umbrellas we will be fine. Besides those that are concerned about rain may decide not to come that day anyway. Or we can bring some tarps or drop cloths to cover items that we don't want to get wet.

I'm tryin' to get 3-4 cuttings to root - so I might have a couple things to swap.

How much did the pavilion cost? Is $5 from us gonna cover it?

Hello Carl, each member is supposed to pay $7.00 dollars, that is per member, not per person, that will cover the pavilion the meats bread and potato salad, and we are bringing our own drinks, sweets and chips and condiments to share. The park doesn't allow alcoholic drinks.
As we get closer I will be posting what each one is bringing so we don't get too many repeats.

Okay, count me in. Sorry for the late reply. I kind of took a small sabbatical from DG Texas Gardening so decided to wait to reply. Not sure if I will be bringing anyone but I have asked a friend to come. I will let you know if she says yes. Since it's getting a bit tight, I will bring my small folding tables, that can be set up outside of the pavilion.

Hello Stacey, good to hear from you, I am so glad you decided to come!!! I will put you on the list.
Actually, the pavilion is rather small, but there are many picnic tables outside the pavilion and those are ours too, but bring one table just in case.

Just noticed that Ted signed up about the same time Melvatoo did. Didn't realize we had already been in the presence of one with so much tenure. Guess the two of you may have some "remember when" stories to swap with the Dave. LOL! From what I hear and read DG and Dave have come a long way.
