No Birthdays today?

Am I missing something or do we not have one single DG member celebrating Birthday today?

Guess it's statistically possible, especially given that not every subscriber shares their birthdate ;o)

I noticed that the Birthday names were missing too, and checked the list, and sure enough, no subscribers with birthdays today. I don't think it has happened before.

Well, with this many people noticing the Birthdays, you would think more would go to the forum and congratulate the honorees, sometimes Diana,wantabegardener, gets very discouraged because of no responses.
So please go there every day and wish a Happy Birthday to the lucky ones.

Wow! I'm going to start heading over there daily just to drool at Diana's cakes!

OMG! I always send personal wishes! I had no idea there was actually a birthday forum! Well, that got my lesson for today out of the way!

It did occur to me tonight as I was washing up that giving the Bday forum a link from the homepage is something that not even Dave does for his own forum where he needs input so badly! (not that Terry has EVER had a bad idea!! LOL)

I add a lot of DG forums as I see that there is something going on that I could learn, add to or even just have a giggle and there are a ton that I just don't visit so often and when time permits, I look and then there are some that just do not occur to me that I need to visit.

Certainly I am grateful to the members here who have the the time and/or inclination to be the backbone of certain forums! Even at times I have been fortunate enough to have been a pretty darn good contributer in my own way and when it gets acknowledged, it is a pretty great feeling to add to a great community!

When someone has a birthday who I know, I send them a message based on the birthday list. If someone I know is ill, I send them a Dmail when I see it posted in a shared forum. I really don't need to post out loud for people to know I care! That is like a popularity contest where the voters have to say who they voted for.

For every person who needs our love, Dave would not have the space on a homepage for all the links!

So, Diana, thank you for hosting a wonderful birthday forum but please do not take it personally if people continue to celebrate privately.

No problem for me..I just like doing it. My part is only cakes..And there are others..that sure..help.. I think it is important..The Birthday things...Even if you do it Privately...heheh...At least I know...people might take a look sometime. And then a day comes..with no Birthdays...listed...So I know some look...Not all sign in with their birthdays..for some reason...And if you go back to Sept 4th..there was someone with a birthday that day..Just must not be wanting to tell..hehehe...

Maybe one thing that Dave COULD do is put a link to the forum from his birthday email & Dmail that goes out to everyone on their birthday?

There were no subscribers that had a birthday on the 4th....except my son in law...and he isn't even a member....Jo
