finding local DG'rs

I forgot how to find local DG'rs. I want to send a D-mail to local people about the Jax round-up. I'm sure many know but don't want to exclude anyone.

Go to the Home page, then click on Extras, then click on "Find other DG subscribers in your area"

This feature doesn't seem to work for me - I get a 5 page list of people who are all in the USA - surely I should get the Australian members first? Kaelkitty.

Doesn't work for me either. Says Schenectady, NY is 6 miles from Denver.

It seems to be working fine for me.

For international people, I know this feature didn't work well a while ago, so that could be why it's not working in Australia. Although I thought when Dave changed it so our locations were based on lat/long rather than just zip codes that made the international feature work, but maybe not. Wouldn't hurt to check that your latitude/longitude are correct, that may be what the problem is.

For Denver being near Schenectady....someone's location was probably put in wrong. If there was one Schenectady person near Denver, then it's theirs that's wrong, but if there were a bunch of NY'ers, then it's your coordinates that are off. First thing to do is go into your preferences and make sure your zip code is correct--I think the lat/long get filled in automatically based on your zip code. If your zip code is correct, then it means the computer probably guessed the wrong latitude and longitude, you can find the correct ones by going to Google Earth, let me know if you need directions how to get your lat/long from that and I'll try to remember how to do it.

Ok, I've Updated My Long/Lat Co-ords, (though they were fairly close already) and this is what i get

Maybe the other Aussies don't have their latitude and longitude plugged in? Or maybe the international members near you feature still doesn't work quite right, I know it used to have problems.

But I live in Denver, and it's wrong for me too.

Did you check the things I mentioned in my post last night? The feature works totally fine for me so I can't think how it wouldn't be working for anyone else in the US unless either your coordinates are wrong, or the person from Schenectady's are wrong (and it's all a numbers game...if there's one person from Schenectady but the rest of the people close to you are from your area, then it's their coordinates that are off, but if everyone's from NY except you, then it's yours).

Not me. There are others on my list showing up as close that aren't, not just Schenectady. Something must be wrong, either with people putting in their zip codes wrong which is hard to imagine, or something.
