I have had this happen for a few days now. I do as I usually do and and click on HOME and nothing shows up as new. Then I went to the Australian forum again tonight to see if there were any new posts and there, once again, was my thread, with YES written out beside it. So I went to that post and sure enough, there were new posts to my thread. So I guess my question is, why are these not showing up as new posts to my thread?

Watched threads not showing up as new posts
All my watched threads seem to be behaving fine. First thing I would check is whether you're still watching the thread, it's pretty easy to accidentally click that you don't want to watch the thread anymore and that's the most likely explanation. The other possibility is that when you were on the home page it wasn't showing you the most recent version--hit shift-refresh and that'll force it to load the most recent version.
Hi ecrane3,
I just checked and this forum did the same thing. When I hit my home tab like I usually do, it did not show me that anyone had written anything on this one either. I just came here to check it, thinking it might have done the same thing and it did. So it is not just the AU forum that this is happening on, but any thread that I have had replies on. I did try the shift-refresh like you suggested but that did not help. I have never had any of my threads do this before and I cannot understand why this is happening. Help.
Jesse
Edited to say that there have been 4 new posts made on my prayer request thread that did not show up as unread. I just decided to check it to see if the same thing was happening on there and it was.

Did you check to make sure that you're watching the threads? It used to be that you would automatically be watching any thread you started, but Dave made some changes to the settings a little while back, so depending on how you have your preferences set up you may not automatically be watching things anymore.
When you look at the top of the thread, if you see "Unwatch thread", then it means you're watching it and it should show up on your home page, but if it says "Watch thread" that means you're not currently watching it and that would explain why it doesn't show up.
This one did not show up and I looked up at the top and it says Unwatch Thread which means I am watching it. I also checked the one in the AU forum and it did not show up but there was a new entry since last night. I really do not understand this. I have never had this problem before. If anyone knows how I can fix this, please let me know.
All my watched threads are behaving themselves just fine, and I'm guessing if other people were having the same problem they would have posted here by now so I don't think it's a problem with DG. Only thing I can think of is try rebooting your computer and see if that helps, often when I'm having mysterious problems I'll reboot and then everything's fine. Have you installed any new software or started using a web browser between the last time your watched threads were working and now? That could have changed some things too.
No, I have not installed anything new on my computer. I have never had this problem before so it is really weirding me out. The only way that I find the news posts on the forums that I'm watching is to go and look for them. Nothing shows up when I hit the Home tab like it used to. I will reboot and see if that helps.

I just had a thought...I wonder if the things on your home page somehow got out of order, and maybe your watched threads was either disabled so it won't show up at all, or it got accidentally moved so it's showing up at the bottom of the page instead of the top.
Go to "my info", then "manage your preferences", then "customize home page" and make sure that watched threads is in column 1 in one of the first couple of positions (and make sure that something big and long like your favorite forums isn't above it).
Thanks ecrane3. You are such a genius. I went to look where my thread watcher was and it had been moved to the bottom of everything. I am not sure how this happened, but it did and now I have it all reset. Thank you so much for helping me figure this out.
Jesse
I just wish I would have thought of it sooner!
That is okay. At least you thought of it and the problem is finally fixed. Thanks again for your help.
Jesse
Jesse, do you think it got moved to the bottom because now you're "down under"? :)
LOL!!! I love that. I did not even think about that but I bet you are right. How funny. Thanks for making me laugh today. As they say, "laughter is medicine for the soul".
