Suggestion for Beginner Gardening ?'s Forum

Would it be possible to put something in the header paragraph on the Beg. Gardening Questions forum pointing people to the ID forum to post their unknown plants? A ton of people post ID's on there because I think they don't know about the ID forum, and they'd probably get better, faster answers if they posted their plants on the ID forum instead. Plus it would de-clutter the beginner forum a bit, sometimes there are a ton of threads posted looking for ID's and it's hard to see that there are any other questions there. And if they post them in the ID forum then they can mark them solved which makes it easier for the people who are helping with the ID's.

That's a good idea! And the ID forum is open to nonsubscribing members also, so that should work out fine. There are some remarkable experts and dedicated amateurs hanging out in the ID forum!

And there's a link to the plant ID forum on the Gardens.com forum list along with the beginner ones so I know the idea was that they would see it and post their unknowns there along with everyone else, but I think a lot of people either don't notice that forum, or don't understand what it's for. Some days there are almost as many ID's on the beginner gardening forum as there are on the ID forum, and I always feel bad because they often don't get ID'd as quickly--if I see something sitting there for a while I'll try to point them toward the ID forum, but if they would have posted there in the first place they would have had their ID several days sooner.

They post requests for i.d.'s in the PF help forum and BF help forum...even with the gentle nudge in the header.

Maybe an actual link with some bold text?
