I've started a journal but am wondering if what I want is more like a diary. I found this thread
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/525458/
and the first post says:
1. To get to your diary, click on the tab that says Journals. Next click on "Manage your own garden diary." Now you should see your diary.
I don't see a button to Manage your own garden diary. Can anyone help please? Thanks.
Journals vs Diaries
Those directions were from before Dave rearranged the site--now you need to go to the tab that says "My Tools", there you'll see your gardening blog (which is the diary) and your journal. If you click on the gardening blog link that'll take you to your diary.
As far as journals vs diaries--journals are ideal if you want to keep track of info, pictures, etc relating to specific plants in your garden (think of it like a catalog or database of all your plants). The diary is better if you want to take pictures of whole beds, track how your garden looks like through the seasons, track the progress of a landscaping project, etc.
OIC, blog is the new diary. Silly me - I'll try to catch up to the times! Thanks ecrane3.
New question: how do I mark it private? I marked the Journal private, maybe it covers the blog too??

For the blog, there'll be an option on each entry whether you want to make it private or not. You have to do it entry by entry though, there's no way to do a blanket public/private across all entries.
OK, thanks again for your help.
