Weekend Blooms 8/25 & 8/26

Sunday was a great bloom day in the back yard, and it was cooler too :-)

Here is Belle de Jour.

Allure hasn't bloomed for a while, so it was really nice to see. Pardon the ugly old hand...

Strawberry Fields Forever with a bunch of other plants in the background. Not the greatest picture today, but I sure do like this cultivar!

The Color Purple is just full of buds, although I'm concerned whether or not they'll last, as temperatures are supposed to be back to 105 by mid-week. Yuck!

This bloom was shy.

We got a small sprinkling of rain Sunday - it was so refreshing to be outside for a change!

Here's Creme de Cacao; I'm totally into this bloom :-)

I think it was a "dragon" weekend here, with a beautiful Sunday bloom from Dragon's Breath.

And lastly, my favorite Sunday bloom. A beauty from Big Easy.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My mom and I had a great time (as usual!) at the HVH open house Saturday. I left with only two new plants, I'm SUCH a good girl, lol! Well, technically three, since my mom bought me a little baby C'est Bon too...

It's Monday now, and I'm off to plant my new babies.

Oh what fun to go to HVH open house. I am so needy.

I am coming to the LA area very soon. Do you have a list of hibiscus places around there? Or even must go to nurseries?

I have the Hot Bikini in a good morning sun and not full. She seems to like it better. The HB's in the greenhouse are the same way. Love the morning sun. They are great growers but it really took a while to get them going when I got the order in.
