Magnifiques 1st bloom
Weekend Blooms 8/25 & 8/26
Love that Wild at Heart and Blueberry Thrill. Nice pictures Cat and Robert.
Blueberry Thrill should be called 4th of July with that red, white and blue. The more I see the odd colors the more I like them.
Hi Ardesia,
I agree with you. There is actually 1 called blue flags that is very similar to it.
Thanks for posting these pics, Robert! I've been looking up the ones you listed for me and I hadn't been able to find Lavender Lady, Blueberry Thrill or Hot Bikini. Adding those to the list of flower pics with the names you sent. I'll ask you questions about shrubs once I narrow the list down a lot more! Thanks!!
Amanda,
Forever young is a real knock out. Absolutely beautiful.
Robert,
You know that Blueberry Thrill is one of my favs.
And, by the way, all the girls are looking quite beautiful. The majority are rebudding again :)
WOW again!!! You guys are so good.
Kell, that one is beautiful! You and Robert have such different climates maybe that explains the difference. They are both beauties.
Hey Kell,
I am really suprised the cest bon even had color today. It cooled down a little and has been overcast. Most that have bloomed have been a very pale pink to white with no defining pattern. I just got lucky on this one! When it gets cooler in a couple of months they will be a beautiful lavender to pink when they open. And by the way, yours is still as pretty as any of them!!! Right now I just feel privileged to have some blooms to post with everyone because they are all so beautiful !!!
Nice blooms, everyone. Robert, your Cest Bon is gorgeous.
Cat, I really like your Wild at Heart pic, and congrats on your first Magnifique bloom - are you in love now?? Magnifique definitely is in my top few all time favorites.
Amanda, again that Forever Young is lovely :-)
Liz, that Intense Passion flower looks super bright. Does it have that same sort of "neonish" hue that Hot Bikini has?
Robert and Kell, I like both your C'est Bons - although they are different, they're both super pretty. I'm excited to see your pics on this one, as I picked up a little baby C'est Bon at the HVH show yesterday. Actually, my mom bought it for me as a gift to celebrate my upcoming return to work :-) I hope mine blooms as pretty!
I've got some to post, but I won't be able to until later tonight or tomorrow morning :-(
karen
Hi Brugie
Thanks so much.
Hey Karen,
Just going to leave us hanging? It's just not fair I tell you LOL
Hi Karen, I don't have Hot Bikini so I don't know how Intense Passion compares, but I don't think it's quite as bright as it looks in my pictures, I think that must have been the flash or something. It's a nice dark red with some yellow spots on it. Honestly when it first opened I had to check the tag because it looked a lot like Sunshowers which was blooming for me several days ago (except the flower is bigger). Mine doesn't really look like the pics of Intense Passion on the website where I got it from, it's supposed to be more ruffly and have more yellow on it, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the next bloom!
Thanks on the Forever Young compliments ... I just wish the shrub was more ... (shrubbier?) ... pretty. I keep saying I'm going to take it back but ... I've hung onto it for a while and the blooms are tremendous and last for 2 days so ... :)
Hey Karen & Ecrane3
Here is a "Hot Bikini" and you are right on the intense passion Mine has yet to look like the one on the site that mine came from. I think it will be blooming in a few days if the buds don't drop. When it does maybe we can compare them.
By the way Amanda very nice Forever young!!!
That does look a lot like Intense Passion...well, since you have them both, you get to make the call on whether they look alike or not when your IP blooms!
Hey Robert, your Hot Bikini pictures are consistently beautiful! Where do you have this one, is it in shade, sun, ? Mine starts out pretty, but when it's hot like this, my edges get really brown and crispy :-(
So that's what Tsunami looks like. Now I want one!
