We finally got some rain twice today and twice last night....we did however get some severe storms and as much as i hate storms...and i mean i am terrified of them i was sooo HAPPY to see it. My grass is turning green again, instead of the nasty brown and dead...my flowers and plants....i swear you could see them gulping down the rain..hehehhe Well it was so nice to see the rain..i called my mom and guess what....she said what honey...i said we are getting rain..she said really, we ain't..and she lives like 30 minutes from me.

RAIN....we finally got some YIPPEEE
Although it's sprinkled a few drops over the past few weeks, and believe me you could count the drops, this morning when I left for the city it was raining and must have done most of the day..ground is sopping wet..thank goodness..we had cold weather since Sunday but today it is so humid and hot outside...no air...you just can't please us can you! lol....
Now, I'm hoping that it dries somewhat so I can beat the heat in the morning and cut the grass.....
Glad to hear some gardens got some real rain. So far we've only had surface-wetting showers here. It was enough to soften the ground a bit, however, and the the baby turtles are starting to escape from underground and make their way across the yard towards the pond. Our grass is still brown, and the ground beneath bushes and trees is dry as a bone, so I sure hope the rain keeps coming!
