As promised, here's the pics I took of my trip to Arlene's house.
First one, a patch on the north side of the house.
few more pictures of PIRL's
Some fantastic caladiums
That's it! I never take enough photos when I go anywhere. I want to enjoy the place, not be stuck behind a camera, I guess... I think I'm gonna work on enjoying WITH a camera in hand from now on.
I didn't get Arlene, Loretta or Bob! Sorry!

Thanks for the shots Harper. Are you sure it was the Crape that was fragrant?
Nice pics of what looks to have been a lovely day. Thanks for letting us tag along. :)
Nice shots Harper and what beautiful gardens Pirl. Strolling through those gardens would make my day. Eleanor
Pirl has such beautiful gardens......now that is one woman who really has a green thumb!
Great pics, and is always fun to see to someone elses garden through another's eyes. Glad you guys had a nice visit......and jealous, I'd love to visit Pirl's gardens :)
Harper, the pics came out nice. We had good weather too. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, the weather was perfect, wasn't it? Even the boys were happy.
Yes, Victor. I'm sure it was the Crape... Right pirl?
Harper,
Your pictures are great. Thank you for sharing them. It was a pleasure meeting you--and your handsome son. We had a really nice time.
Loretta
Thank you Loretta. I also enjoyed meeting you and Bob. The whole day was just beautiful. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I'm looking forward to seeing you again.
I just saw this thread for the first time!
Thanks, Harper, for the photos and the visit. We did have a nice time and beautiful weather. Come back soon.
Anyone who wants to drive out this far is always welcome. Just Dmail me so we'll be sure to be home.
Now I even have kitchen counters, which I didn't have when Harper, Anita, Loretta and Bob came to visit.
Looks great Pirl!
Still working on cleaning out cabinets - 7 upper ones to go and four huge drawers. The sun keeps playing games today so I guess it's the best way I can spend the day: boring!
Awful here - chilly and overcast. Rain in forecast for next two days.
Hmmm still no taps yet Pirl??? Gorgeous room though! I love what you have done to the place LOL
Pirl, that looks great!! Look at all that empty counterspace... I MUST come over and clutter it up.
I don't like clutter so if you come over to make a mess I'll send you outside to pick tomatoes.
Some of our threads would have to be considered clutter.
Let those who consider any posts to be clutter just hit the magic "unwatch" feature.
Well put. I may start a Clutter thread.
I'd love it! Then nobody can complain and we'll just ignore them if they try.
Maybe two Clutter threads. One for serious clutter and one for nonsensical clutter.
Where would cleaning kitchen cabinets go?
The infamous, mystical, elusive spacebar thread.
Okay Arlene. I'll pick your tomatoes. Clutter follows me wherever I go. Ought to keep it outside and into the compost bin, right?
It all depends on what the clutter is. If it's egg shells and melon rinds they'd go to the compost but not peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, squash: you have to know your clutter!
You are more than welcome to pick tomatoes when you come down here.
Uh oh. Why no peppers, eggplant, tomatoes or squash? What about zucchini? I have cucumbers coming out of my ears from my neighbor's garden. I just built my compost bin and already it's full and HARD to turn. Also, I think there's too much green.... do I have to subscribe to the newspaper or get a wood chipper just so I can have compost?
NO cucumbers or zucchini in that pile! Don't waste the compost but don't add more of those veggies. They're all members of the curcubit family (nightshade) and can carry Fusarium and Verticillium and Nematode traits to the compost.

Okay. Tomatoes and such are in the same family?
