I've been so busy the last few months, are the chatrooms still active on DG?

Yes, the chatroom is open on Tuesday 7-10 PM ET and Thursday 7-10 AM ET. (If I have the times wrong, someone please correct me. I can't seem to find it in the FAQ anymore.)

Look right above these posts, under the top row of tabs, there's the F.A.Q. It seems that you have to be in a forum to see that tab now, don't know why it's not on the homepage anymore.
