DG Weekly Newsletter for Aug.6, 2007

I got my first Weekly Newsletter, in my personal E-Mail this morning.

What a treat! I think I checked out most all the links. All I tried were successful, except for the "continue reading".... links, at the bottom of the Article intro's.
I clicked on each one and a screen popped up, saying "Address not found".

Please don't think I am complaining-just wanted to post the info, in case it's a little bug that needs to be worked out.

Respectfully,
Sasha

Hi Sasha,

Thanks - this was reported by others and I saw it, too. I'll be making sure that this is fixed before the next mailing!

I got mine too.....

Honestly? I was a bit disapointed....I don't know what I was expecting, but (for me anyways), since DG is set as my home page, I found it to be just a re-run of everything I have already seen and read....sorry :(

Thanks, dave!

I just got home from an 8 day visit with my little sister .... checked e-mail this morning and was so excited to see the News letter .... began reading and went to click on "continue reading" and nothing happens! I don't know what's wrong .... but I want to be able to read all the articles. HELP!

edited to say: OOPS .... Should have read the first post ... I will be waiting anxiously for the little "bugs" to be worked out!

Sorry!

I found and fixed the bug that was causing the articles link to not work. Next week's mailing will work fine.

threegardeners, I'm sorry you don't like it. Do you have any specific suggestions on improvements that I can make to the newsletter?

Sorry Dave...it's not your fault, that's what a newsletter is....news.....I am sure it is wonderful for people on vacations, or who have a life and don't spend wayyyy to much time here :)) A nice way to get caught up....

I found it well organized and pleasing to the eyes.

I like the newsletter. I love DG but it sure can be addictive and I just don't have time to spend hours on it every day. The newsletter is a nice way to catch up on some things I missed or would not have noticed. I was sorry about the "Address not found" for the continuation of the articles since a few of them were of real interest but I know this will get fixed.

Nicely done, Dave, and much appreciated.

I second what June said.

I loved every part of it, even though I am a daily visitor to the website.

Thanks, Dave and crew for the great newsletter. It's eyecatching, easy to follow. Love the articles and the photos keep up the wonderful work you do. I'm so glad Namemedia is smart enough to let you stay with DG and do all the wonderful improvements you've been doing. A heartfelt thanks for all you do, Dave, in making this such a wonderful gardening community. This is my family on the web and I wouldn't have it without you.

Hey .... I spend quite a bit of time here in the "Garden" and I still want the newsletter! I love everything about this Gardening Family! Some might say I don't have a life but I like to think that my life just includes my buddies here in the garden and I love keeping in touch with them. I mainly participate on just three forums but sometimes I enjoy just "lurking" and "learning" on other forums. There is a wealth of knowledge here in Dave's Garden ... great folks, great photo's, great advice! A little "Time Management" and we can have it all!

Thanks Dave for working out the little "bug" in the system! And a GREAT BIG THANKS for this wonderful garden!

I like it too, very nice!
