Dirt Cheap forum?

Hello all,

On the Frugal Living forum, in this post:

http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/34861/

Sandy (Napergal) mentioned finding her posts on
the Sustainable Living site and also 'Dave's Dirt Cheap'.
We're hoping Sandy pops in to help us find what we
think is a forum or maybe another site by Dave?

Or are Bettypauze and I just wishful thinking? LOL :-)

I just realized the other thread is actually called Sustainable
Alternatives:

The Frugal Living forum was originally dubbed "Dirt Cheap" by Trish. She and I both thought it was a great name, although I'm not sure Dave was as fond of it as we were. When we added the Home Talk forums last year, we made the decision to call it the more descriptive "Frugal Living" forum instead.

"Sustainable Alternatives" is in many ways a complementary forum.

I can't speak for those who regularly post there, but I would say the motivation behind finding "sustainable alternatives" may sometimes be frugality, but not always. And those seeking frugal ways may not choose sustainable options.

Buying or making re-usable grocery bags is an example of the differences between these two mindsets. Reusable bags are not the cheapest alternative (that would be free plastic or paper grocery bags ;o)

But reusable bags are rapidly becoming popular among those looking to do their part to reduce waste in our landfills and reduce our need for pulpwood and petroleum byproducts.

Ah, many thanks!
