I'm going to be interviewed live on the radio this week

Doug Welsh, an extension officer and coordinator of the Texas master gardeners, has his own weekly radio gardening show that is broadcast in the Bryan/College Station area on 90.9, and it's also streamed live online at:

http://kamu.tamu.edu/

This Thursday (August 2nd) from noon to 1pm Central time I will be his guest on the show and we'll be talking about Dave's Garden. I'd encourage all of you to tune in via the website (if you're not local) and listen in. If you don't listen live, you'll be able to download and listen to the archive at a later date.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

I'll look forward to downloading and listening to it after the fact...don't think my boss would appreciate me listening to it live when I'm supposed to be working, but I definitely don't want to miss it!

I'll post a link to the archive when it's up. :)

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I'll download it afterwards also. I can't stream live on here without all extra little things messing it up. lol. Am on high speed dial-up. lol

I'm on the radio right now. :-)

Yay! That was a great program!

Glad you let us know about it, Dave. Hope it was fun for you, too!

Excellent!! I really enjoyed it!

That was fun indeed. I just got home. I've never sat in a radio studio before and it was quite an interesting experience. Doug is a really nice guy.

dave

Sorry about that claypa, I didn't know what he was talking about. He was over on his computer and was obviously just reading the email addresses.

dave

Dave
That was very nice getting to "meet" you. I didn't realize you and Trish had 5 kids? Wish y'all could plan to come to a GA RU sometimes. :-) Congrats again. That was a great show.

Thanks :-)

No, nobody but me to blame, for being too lazy to set up my own e-mail account... trying to figure it out now. Can't be too hard!?

It's weird, now the computer seems quiet!

The archive is up!

I think you need real media player to listen to the archive. I'm converting it to mp3 so if you prefer that, I can post the link to it later.

Okay, now is it just because I have lousy dial-up from here on the island, or am I doing something wrong...I downloaded it from your link, but there is nothing on it!

Probably you don't have the right software. I'll have an mp3 for you later that'll work just fine.

What a great interview!! You're just awesome, Dave! Makes me proud to be a 'part of' !

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

I just listened to it. Great interview.

Necedah, WI(Zone 4b)

Me too -nice job! :)

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

LOL! about the fire alarm at the beginning of the interview! That could ONLY happen to you, Dave! LOL!

Great interview and very informative! Glad ya got to brag about what a great community DG has grown into! :-) I had no idea it was started because of seed trading that you were doing! That's amazing! You are doubly gifted .... computer geek and a garden geek! No wonder this website turned out so good! Just the right combination of both!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I listened to it today. Enjoyed the history a lot. Amazing what your little seed trading has turned into.
You and the other guy did a great job, burnt toast and all. Lol!

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Wonderful! Didn't get it first time around, and so glad you posted the archive....Enjoyed it much. The other guy, Doug Welsh, did good too! LOL!!! (BTW, you'll see him in April next year, too!) ;-)

Wewoka, OK(Zone 7a)

Enjoyed listening to the program - thanks for posting the archive for those of us who didn't get to listen live.

Here's the MP3 formatted interview, for anyone who couldn't access the first link:

Note, it's still about 25 megabytes (a very big download for dialup folks)

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Thanks Dave - downloading it now!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I missed it -- was out all day Thursday! Thanks for posting the link to the archive and the MP3.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Great interview Dave! You're getting more famous every day! Thanks for getting the mp3 file up, I didn't have the right software for the other one.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

That was a long interview, great publicity!!! Nicely done Dave!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Howie and I just finished listening to the whole show. Dave, I have to tell you, I have never been so proud of DG and this whole community until now. How awesome to sit back and listen to all the many resources at this site, let alone the community we've all built here together! I'm just so happy for you!

:-) Smiling big.

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

I bounce all over the site, checking out lots of the forum, and statistics and yet I learned so much from the interview! Great show....lots of fun, but I got even more jealous of all the roundups. Its one thing to read about them, but when you were talking about them, I just wanted to go so badly! Oh well, I'm remote, but I have my perks too. Great show! Thanks for making it available to us.
