Corn! I need help with my corn. Please!

Hello Members,

I noticed yesterday that the center of many of my corn plants have bueu coup tiny BLACK spots on them especially towards the center at the stalk. Moving the leaves or touching the spots does not incurr activity.
The plants are still very young at about 2 1/2 feet tall.
Do any of you know what this could be and if it is an infection, how do I get rid of it?
