Beth, I believe the white margin is attractive. The white ray is a dominant trait. Vines carrying only one gene for ray white can throw solid or margined(margined is a different gene also dominant)

I`m still finding solid flowers in the yagurumas I bought from a company labeled as Rosita. I weed any solid flower out,continue to tie the ray white blooms and over time improvement and less and less solid flowers are seen. You cannot tell by looking if a flower has one or two genes for ray white so you just have to work with them over time.
