what newsletter

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Dave has a place on the homepage where it says, would you like to sign up for an email newsletter...........go here.............but nothing happens

Crosbyton, TX(Zone 7a)

i just clicked on it and it came to a screen that sez you are now signed up for a newsletteer.....i will now go back to it to see if perhaps nothing happens ....

Crosbyton, TX(Zone 7a)

now my page doesn't even show 'do you want to sign up for a newsletter'....you might wanna contact dave....

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Try logging out, then log back in....that may clear it up.

So. Puget Sound, WA(Zone 8b)

I don't think Dave's sent any newsletters out yet. I signed up Monday just 'cause I wanted to get the first one. ;~)

Once you sign up, the message on the homepage disappears. If you want to unsubscribe, click on My Info, then Preferences.

(Zone 1)

I just clicked on my info and then manage my preferences and it said I was not logged in! I am logged in.... must be some gremlins in the system .... I'm sure Dave will get them worked out before long!

(Zone 1)

Just went there again, logged in and tried again and it again said I was NOT logged in! Oh well .....

That same error was reported by someone else today. I have no idea why it's happening, but now that it's happened to two different people, I'll look closer into it.

:) I had already signed up (I think!) .... I just thought I would test it. LOL. No problem .... I do want to get the newsletter!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I will go back and see what the homepage says............and then go to my info and preferences..................not too computer literate to say the least!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

The sign is still on my homepage................went to my info and to my preferences and it is saying I am not logged in...........same as Lin............

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

Dave - I tried to warn you....those faeries get ticked when you dis 'em like you did.....(hope you know I'm just joshin ya)...

(Zone 1)

Computer Gremlins .... we've all had them at one time or another!

Rio Rico, AZ(Zone 8a)

I keep a dragon on my pooter for just that reason! Loves the taste of gremlins in the mornin! Hope you guys can get it straightened out!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Whenever I click signing up for the newsletter, it simply takes me back to home..............could someone direct me?

West Central, WI(Zone 4a)

I've been having the same problem. I should try loggin in through Mozilla instead of IE. Sometimes that works for me.

West Central, WI(Zone 4a)

I was able to sign up for the newsletter by using Mozilla. Why does it work with Mozilla Firefox and not with Internet Explorer?

I really don't know. There's definitely a bug in DG somewhere that's causing this problem, but I'm having a hard time finding it since I have never experienced it myself...

I'm using IE6 right now and will see if I can trigger this bug to happen to me.

dave

Well, using IE6 I'm able to sign up for the newsletter with no problem. I really don't know what is the problem, but it's definitely happening and several people have reported it.

Another related bug is that sometimes people can't get it work when they click on "My Info" on the bar up top.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I can't get any of that green row at top to work for me. All signs in white, I can click into and they open.

I am Internet Explorer.

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

My preferences say I'm signed up for the Newsletter, though I haven't seen one yet. Sign up works fine on mac OSX.

I haven't started sending out the newsletter yet. I'm thinking it might be ready by the end of this week.

best,
dave

I think this is another IE7 problem--I'm running IE6 and haven't had any problems, but it seems like there are several similar issues to this that are popping up for people who have IE7.

Ugh. I wish Microsoft would just discontinue IE and be done with it. Firefox won the battle LONG AGO.

I have Vista on one hard drive hoping to learn to be able to use it.................and the other hard drive he just put my familiar one on.................it could be that somehow that is the problem.............I will just wait until I need him for something else and he can fix this, too.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I use IE7 and didn't have any problem receiving the newsletter. Now, if I could get FF to work on my computer without all the problems it causes, I would probably go back to it.
