If so, I did not know that. I was just new to DG and was admiring some brug photos. Judy Cooksey told me to drop you a note because you were offering some for SASE. You sent me a wonderful box of cuttings and bulbs. As I recall, I sent some of their offspring to you when you relocated to NY. I hope they are giving you as much pleasure in return!
Nooooooo!
I don't think the brugs survived, I only made it through the winter with maya, but I do remember an incredible red dahlia and these super tall cannas. I lost both because I didn't know I was supposed to dig them, lol. The dahlia put on such a show. My g'daughter Lexie lived with us during this past summer and that dahlia wound up being the first handpicked bouqet of flowers that she picked for her Mom. I think you sent me something else but I'm not pulling it out.
I was diagnosed with my first cancer in 11/04 and then another in April/May 05. I was tearing up my yards right and left because I just knew I wasn't going to live through them. She was a good friend to me at the time.
Anyway, sorry about the t/j on your thread!!
I lied. 1st cancer was 03, and 2nd was 04.
You got an end of the year package. I just checked my old dmail and the exchange between us is hysterical. It's dated somewhere in Nov. 04. Somewhere in the middle you asked about the hardiness of something and I replied with an I have no idea about NY weather does, lol. I sure got a crash course, didn't I? Whodda thunk.
Yes, life does have a way of running us through twists and turns, doesn't it. Just amazing what we can handle, and still come out "smelling the roses".
I hope you are happy in NY. I've never regretted leaving Florida for the NE.
Janice she is a beauty. I like the pink color and hope that my second one turns out to be pink.
It's lovely! Looks like my Frosty Pink!
Very Nice
I am so happy for you. Nice photos. I love your enthusiasm, It reminds me of when I got my very first brug bud. I remember being so excited, I practically camped out by it so I wouldn't miss it lol.
I have to confess to being a little disappointed with the size of the first ones, but these are incredible. Certainly on the par with anything I've seen on recent visits to Logee's and White Flower Farms, though theirs' certainly put mine to shame with their quantities!
Congrats. Nice pictures.
