Additional links for page numbers

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Hi Dave,

I was away for three weeks. While I was gone there were three or four pages of threads that came and went in the forum I frequent most - Hostas. Now that I've caught up on the really current ones, I've been going back over some of the others. I find it a bit awkward to look at threads on pages other than page 1.

Is there a way that when returning to a forum after looking at a thread, you can be returned to the page on which you were looking?

Failing that, could there be an additional link to the pages at the TOP of page 1 so it's not necessary to scroll to the bottom each time?

Thanks for considering this request.

I have to agree. I have done the very same thing and it was an annoyance that I had to keep going back to page 1. I'm on DSL now, but it was especially burdensome when I was on dial-up.

Bump.

Are nap and I the only ones who are bothered by this?

I've been catching up on some forums I haven't visited for a long time and once again, I find it awkward once I get beyond page 1.

If I use the IE7 back arrow I go back to the exact place on the page before.

That's what I do as well, it takes you right back to where you were last (the backspace button on your keyboard will work as well).

And if you need to get to the bottom of a page quickly, just hit the "end" button on your keyboard and it'll take you all the way to the bottom.

Good thought, Thanks. I'm using Firefox, but the same thing will happen, I think.
