When I moved the yarrow to this bed last year, a liatris bulb came along for the ride. It's huge and apparently really liking its new home.

This sure took off fast. I'll start with my MG. I received several different seed packs of MG in trades and I have them planted all over.
Since I had no idea what they were other than MG. It's always a big surprise when they open. I'm going to save the seeds from this one I really like it.

How about some purple leaves. Perilla frutescens
Holly, I love Perilla! I tried to save the few seedlings that hadn't already been unknowingly weeded out of the garden by a friend who was trying to help - but then Rick mulched the bed and I only had one survivor - I'll try to be more careful next year because I love the deep color of the foliage.
I tried to get a picture of my Eucomis 'Oakhurst' almost ready to bloom - this picture just doesn't do it justice. It's a deep purple/burgundy - taken in the early morning. I can't wait for the flowers to open up! This is the third year in the gardens for this group and it's really looking good this year.
I was going to remark that the plant looks like mini purple pineapples, looked in plant files and found out it's a Pineapple lily.

Here is my baby! Delphinium Black Knight ! I have been nursering them from seeds and this is the first bloom to start opening, the plant is now 4 1/2 foot tall. I hope to get a better picture later today, Hard leaning over the fence to get a close-up.
Delphinium is not the only Black Knight in my garden. I feel like a Queen!
