any one ever been? Any suggestions? I *think* I've found a couple gardens to go visit. Even though it's winter, it's not cold.

I lived in Brasil back in the late 70's, and was able to travel to Recife/Pernambuco briefly. The beaches are quite nice, as are the locals. Good food, too, & this time of year is cooler.
If you have the opportunity to travel around, I would see as much of Brasil as possible. Are you flying into Rio? I toured the botanical garden there - really a treat!
