Is it something new? The thumb nail pictures are loading different for me..some are the same as before and some you can actually see the bar at the bottom loading, then the picture. The size isn't quite the same either, not the full screen as before.
Pictures loading differently
Today I've been getting a large black screen, the image finally comes up minus the commentary, and if you don't click the "close" button at the bottom, you go back to the main page for your forum, not the thread you were reading. Very confusing...
I am only getting a black scrolling bar. If you click on that it goes out. No big picture.
I have dial up and there are big stalls and blank screens.
Dave must be up to something.
Slowing us all down while he updates?
Click on the photo - the screen darkens and a scroll bar appears. Seconds later the photo appears by itself with a border like a print. The background remains dark. Have to click 'x' to close it. Two problems so far - VERY slow and it's using a standard size that makes lower res photos look awful.
Okay, since my previous post I found the discussion on the pictures... here's the thread for those who are interested:

Hope it helps you as much as it did me!
I read that thread and all seemed positive....but
I think it seems much slower coming up to me on DSL. Could be it is because I am watching that bar! I will get use to it though since most comments were positive, maybe I am being too quick to judge.
I think it's because you're watching the bar, I think it actually loads at the same speed. I think if you timed the amount of time it took to change to the new page and load the picture the old way, it may even be a little quicker the new way.
The posts load much slower now though. It is almost like there is over 100 replies.
I didn't read that thread, thanks tusconjill. I understand but I don't really care for it too much, but I am sure like all the other changes that happen in life I will get used to it!!! ☺
Things are working quicker now, like normal. I like new changes, esp if they are for the better. We get stuck with our old ways and need something new once in a while.
