Wow Patootie that is one massive flower and look how long those sepals are!

Hi Beth, This one doesn`t have pods on it. In this case it is probably getting too much rain, my soil in the back is naturally rich and full of earthworms so it is growing lush vines instead of blooming. I put something on it to encourage blooming so time will tell. I`m sure it will bloom again soon. I saw some tiny beginnings of buds so maybe it will put on a real show very soon.

My Ipomoea albivenia has a bunch of flower buds on it! I almost dropped my adult beverage when I made that discovery. LOL I hope they develop into flowers and I haven't jinxed them making this announcement!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Joseph, This is a good size flower. Amazing how the star just
disappears on this one. Looking forward to the albivenia blooms.

This is one for the Truth is Stranger than Fiction catagory. This is a Mt Fuji
Mixed and I was so excited to see it finally open this morning. As I took
the 1st pic, this is what I saw. I thought my glasses were fogged up but no.
Strange indeed. Can someone explain the glow?

Looks like humidity, or condensation on your lense. You can get the same effect by smearing vaseline on the lense, just remember to clean it off for your next regular shot!

Yes that is humidity. You get that condensate when you take the camera from airconditioned comfort out into nature in the summer. If you wait a few minutes for the camera to warm up the fog ought to disappear from the lenses. I saw some of that foggy effect on MGJapan's images too.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Beth, I'm sure you're probably right. After I sent the pic, I thought it might be from bringing the camera from the cool house into the heat and humidity. The next pic
was fine made right after the first. Carried to a different spot.
Looks like a baby blue. This might be the same as the Fuji No sora which Emma
so kindly shared with me. I'm still waiting on those blooms to open..

Edited to apologize for the sorry picture. I don't understand why it looks better in my
Kodak Easy share album where I review and then so bad when I send it. I'm having
a HORRIBLE day and need my mommy. Has anyone seen her? lol

Joseph, Just saw your post as I've spent all this time trying to send the last pic.
Instead of showing the progress as my pic is uploaded, whatever, it just goes to done and I know it isn't done. Takes forever, like 5 minutes and then it sits on opening page for another 5 minutes. Wonder if it's my dial-up or just so many
pics being sent to Daves at the same time.

It looks like DG has a new photo handling software, the images load differently now than before.

I've missed alot of nice flowers here..

Ronnie, those Kawaii's are gorgeous, and I really like that sport from JC. SAVE seeds from that Red Picotee.. hopefully it is a seed machine..lol

Jackie, nice nice photo there, reminds me of walking in the clouds..

Beth, you are killing me with that Gypsy Bride.. I love it.

Joseph, you got some very interesting leaves there (and flowers too).. are your Fuji Wisteria 's forming seed pods?

I took a few photos the last few days, but haven't uploaded them.. too much to do and too little time. Hope all is well with everyone.

Everyone has great flowers.

I planted a few seeds that were supposed to be "Red Star". If this is one of them, it doesn't look very RED, more like violet. It could be out of a mix, though, I'm not sure.

Thanks, Ron. It's a new one for me to grow. It sure makes a lot of vines for those small flowers.

Antoinette, I will have to check to see if seed pods are forming.

Joseph love that purple one!! Always love the blues though, there is just something so differnt about a "blue" flower.

I am getting a few more buds here and there but this one is putting on the best show so far!! Nothing beats like the "Blues" do...

MOVE OVER GYPSY BRIDE. . .

Here is one of my Feathered Blooms that I cross-pollinated last year. I actually played around with several blooms to see what I could come up with. Didn't plant them all, but this one took my breath away.

Oh, Emma - that one's beautiful! Is it the same size as Gypsy Bride?

Nichole

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi Nichole,
Yes pretty much the same size as Gypsy Bride - however this particular bloom appeared to be a bit fuller. I have at least one more bud ready to open tomorrow so I will be better prepared to take more photos.

Emma
