Images on forums

Warren, PA(Zone 5a)

Why do some forums (like Dahlias) include an image in the subject line when you go to that forum and others (like Vegetable Gardening) do not? In other words, there is a column for "Image" between "New?" and "Subject" on the Dahlia forum where you can see a lovely image for each new thread. Maybe the answer is obvious (as in, "Hey, BDale, the Dahlia people post a lot of really beautiful images") which is true, but aren't vegetables beautiful too? :)

I think Dave adds that thumbnail on a case-by-case basis, depending on the requests received from members. I love having the thumbnails to browse. And, yeah, I think veggies are beautiful, too! :D

Somewhere in the deep, dark recesses of DG's earliest threads is a post from Dave that announced the introduction of thumbnails on the Photos forum, and explained why he didn't believe they would be necessary on any other forum. Chuckle....my oh my, have we grown a lot since then!

In a nutshell, any of the older forums may not have thumbnails because they were created before thumbnails were a possibility. In some cases, people have pleaded their case, and we've added the thumbnails on request.

Check out the Vegetables forum now. (And I added them to a few others for good measure, so if you spend a lot of time in the veggies forum I bet you'll spot 'em pretty fast ;o)

Thank you! I think it is a very nice addition to the "Vegetable Garden" forum.

Terry,

Would you please do the same for the Water Gardens forum?

Kathleen
