June 26th blooms

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Is there a bit of pink on your last one? Reminds me of Ortega

My lilies are in a lull at the moment. There are a lot more getting ready to pop, they just haven't gotten quite there as of yet. Maybe this weekend..... *sigh* Until then I'll have to just drool over all of yours.. :)

I'm in a lull too. My 'riot of color' is dwindling but the orientals are coming on.

Beaker, that can't be Kathy Jan. I have it (of course), but have seen many Kathy Jan entries at the North Star Lily Society's annual lily shows too. Hugh and/or Ruth are usually judges, and they certainly would know their own introductions. LOL

Very nice looking lily though.

Anyhow, this is Kathy Jan:

Oops, must be Cathedral Windows. I was doing this from memory without looking them up.

Ripon, WI(Zone 4a)

Wow, Leftwood, that Kathy Jan is great!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Kathy Jan looks like a nice one. Have not seen that before. MOby, I think I do remember ordering and Ortega a couple years ago. I don't think there is any pink in it, but will check tomorrow for sure. Thanks,

Susan

Well, Susan, You and Moby both have great collections! Any you are not fond of in your collections are welcomed in Georgia! LOL I have really had to fight off the deer and rabbits this year though...mine have been sparce compared to years before! I will have to spray a lot more next year and top dress with some blood meal...maybe that will deter them better. It is so hot now, I can't be out long enough to spray them!

Is Ginza fasciated?

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

More of my buds opening on the American Spirit I brought inside...it is just beyond beautiful!

Re: Ginza

No, the blooms are close to the stem like that. I have several lilies that have that form. Fata Morgana is like that and with the double blooms, it's just wonderfully full looking.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I was wondering the same thing about Ginza ~ it's a whole bouquet all by itself.

My Royal Sunset was full of blooms like that, not fasciated in the usual manner but rather square-ish.

American Spirit is another lovely!

Thanks Moby, I really think it may be my "new favorite" LOL

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I hate to do this on a long daily thread, but I just returned from vacation to an eruption of color ;) and I couldn't help myself.
Thanks for your pictures this last week. It kept me gardening from afar...
Here is 'Venture'

'Wanda' is a nicer dark red.

This one, I'm not sure who it is, but it is an earlier OT or yellow oriental. It has one double flower I had to show you.

I bought this one from the Lily Garden last year and the rabbits chewed it up, so it never bloomed. It looks beautiful this year. I'll have to look it up...

'Menorca' is a nice one too. A nice slightly stronger than light scent. Nice.

'Stunning' is hard to capture, but it really is a lovely one. A very distinct color out there.

'Cappucino', nicely lightly spotted, not too much, not too little.

'Tinos' turned out faint on one of the stems, but what has come out since I left last week, is the 'Tinos' I remember liking so well. Here it is....

Janet, glad you liked them.
'Arena' has a nice palate of color, oh and the fragrance! I can smell it from here.... Thanks for sharing.

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Wow wow wow wow wow!!! Those are some beautiful lilies!!! Mags!!!! You got speckles on your lilies!!! (I know, they are supposed to be, but you know how I am with speckles!) How tall did Iowa Rose get for you? That Fairest is wonderful!!! Your Tinos looks strangely familiar! LOL Ghia Girl, Arena is lovely, as is the your mystery lily. ;) I'm sitting here trying to decide which one I like best in this thread and I'm like a kid in a candy store!! I can't choose just one, so I'll choose them all! :) Oh so cool...

I did go out tonight and look to see if my lily lull was turning around.. It is slowly... Here are my babies...

This is supposed to be Coral Reef (does that lily name really exist?)

This was supposed to be something called Freedom's Glow, it's not. It looks like Coral Reef, which looks like Marquee... Beats me. This is actually more vibrantly colored that Coral Reef...

I love that one!

This is supposed to be Coral Sunset..
