There are 44 updated threads in your Thread Watcher! HUH?

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

What going on?! A lot of these are threads from months and months ago?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I have 21 of them and none of them are new!!! Yikes!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I came up with 156 of them. As of last night I was current. Double Yikes!

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Plus we've been really really sluggish and sometimes non responsive today. Somethin's up!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Here too (about 26 originally showed up on mine) .......only a few are new.

I also received this message when I clicked on my Dave's Garden link:

Welcome home, Lilypon!

Database error: Invalid SQL: SELECT t_threads.tid FROM t_threads LEFT JOIN thread_watcher ON thread_watcher.user='Lilypon' and thread_watcher.tid = t_threads.tid LEFT JOIN thread_hits ON thread_hits.tid = t_threads.tid AND thread_hits.user = 'Lilypon' where t_threads.end_date > thread_hits.date AND t_threads.tid = thread_watcher.tid

Central, AL(Zone 8a)

Whoa! something *is* amiss.

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Ok..I was wondering if it was happening to anyone else! No biggie, unless you have 156! LOL!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

37 threads appeared on my watch list too!

Plus, I've also noticed very recently that whenever I go to any thread in any forum it automatically puts it on my "watch thread" list, whether I wish to watch it or not! I've had to manually go into lots of threads just to turn off this feature. Not complaining....just making an observation.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Thanks eco...guess I should've looked first..my bad. :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Should we manually unwatch all these or will they fix themselves later? LOL I only have 49!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Never mind! Just read the server thread and Dave said to look at them and they'd go back to never never land. LOL

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

yeaks... i had 63!!

my guess is something is being worked on and it triggered a lot of old threads.

i got mine down to 55 and i've given up... hopefully soon they will go away.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Glad to know I was not having some sort of flash back. Patti

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I just cleared all mine! There is another post that a server crashed this morning. Dave has it under control. :)

One member contacted us to let us know he had over 2,000 threads pop up on his homepage!

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Eeek! Tell me he didn't have to review them all??? lol

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

good golly, I thought the computer was having issues this morning was my doing. My computer " doth protest too much, methinks." I just cleared mine. Maybe we need a house cleaning button to do a mass edit of our watched threads. Patti

I cleared out his 2,000 threads for him. :)

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Getting this at the top of my page now "SELECT t_threads.tid FROM t_threads LEFT JOIN thread_watcher ON thread_watcher.user='Chantell' and thread_watcher.tid = t_threads.tid LEFT JOIN thread_hits ON thread_hits.tid = t_threads.tid AND thread_hits.user = 'Chantell' where t_threads.end_date > thread_hits.date AND t_threads.tid = thread_watcher.tid;"

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I have the same thing as Chantell only my name instead. Can you make this and all those threads go away???????

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

That was very thoughtful of you Dave!

I'm getting that gobbeldygoop at the top of my home page too. I'm guessing everyone is.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

The quick way (maybe the only way) is to select one you wish to eliminate and hit "unwatch treads" then go click on "Home" and then repeat with the next one you wish to eliminate from your Thread watcher. But I only had around 30.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I got down to 138 and was ready to give up but after seeing someone had 2,000 I guess I'll just keep looking at them in batches of 10.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I've got 118... and I was caught up this morning! It's going to take a while to click on them all...

Shirley, the other thing about automatically "watching" any threads that you post to is a recently added feature (I thought it was a bug at first, but now I like it)... I think you can turn it off in your preferences if you'd prefer to stick with the old method of watching only threads that you choose to watch. But if you do turn it off, I believe that threads which you start are no longer automatically "watched" now either.

I kept the new feature turned on... I often "unwatch" threads after viewing a couple more posts, but I've caught some comments that I might have missed otherwise, so I think I like the new feature.

But I'm glad to hear that this most recent thing is a glitch, because it seemed very random!

Citra, FL(Zone 9a)

Ah, not just my imagination!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I wish it was just my imagination. I think I'm down to 128 now. It's a very long process.

Rocky Mount, VA(Zone 7a)

I suspect the whole problem (with the "html code being printed at the top of the screen") is related to different versions of the browsers involved.

It will work out as the systems update (mine already has). It was there and now is gone.

Thanks Dave for watching out for us so well.

Central FL, FL(Zone 9b)

I also had an "update" on a Dmail from October...in addition to some old threads. Thank goodness, nowhere close to 2,000!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You do not have to physically unwatch every single one. Just click on it then click the back arrow and they go away fast.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I followed Wallaby's advice and clicked on a thread, let it start to load and then either click on another thread or click on home. After you have done this with a few thread, click on home again and they will disappear.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Yup, wierdo code now gone from the top of my page.

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

WOW -- 2000!! that's huge. my piddly 63 are cleared.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Down to 99 via Wallaby's suggestion. Thanks.

Now I'll go to the garden thinking of 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall.............

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Thanks Jill and other DG'ers. I've cleared out my measely 37, so no more problems!

2,000 threads....I can't imagine how long that would have taken!

Thanks, Dave!!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

FINALLY! Done with the 156 and free to garden.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

56 here and we're using public computers while on vacation - what's going on?.

Citra, FL(Zone 9a)

I haven't got the time to go through that with dialup...isn't there another way?

4paws, you only have 4 new threads in your thread watcher...

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

148 here, it did take a while, hopefully it won't happen again.
