DG Slow tonight...

I've purged my cache, and rebooted.Still takes over a minute and a half to access some threads. Is it me, or a glitch?

Thank goodness for your post.... I thought it was just me...glad I'm not alone..and to think I'm finally on here when I thought everyone would still be wake..lol

Nope, not just you. I thought it was just me (even though all my other websites work just fine), just rebooted the computer in hopes of making it faster, but if others are having troubles too then I bet that's probably not going to fix it!

Yep I 2nd that... when I type fast than DG loads I know somethin is a miss....lol

I thought something was wrong with my computer.....restarted it twice as DG was sooooooooooo slow....then tried turning off everything...........nothing is helping tonight for some reason.....

Darius, thanks for posting that. I tried de-fragmenting, ran the spyware, rebooted and it's still slow.

Soooo glad to find this thread. I have a new server and I was going to call them tomorrow and let them know I was having serious problems. Have done the housekeeping mentioned above to no avail. Since DG is my favorite website I would be in trouble if it "went down".

I believe it's been slow since the "Other Threads" bit was added at the bottom. It slows everything down for them to be generated. I sure don't like them.

Same here, I tried to post last night and simply gave up. Ok this morning.

It still seems slow to me this afternoon.

One of our servers went offline last night at around 10:00pm. It's taking some time to bring everything back up and in proper order.

The nice thing about having multiple servers is that when one goes down, rather than the whole site being offline, it just slows things down a bit.

I went down at 10 pm too or was that eastern time? Cause mine was slooooow prior to that!

I was actually coming over to ask if DG seems slower than usual and happened upon this post. I've noticed it for about 2 weeks. It's taking a lot longer to open DG and to get into some forums. I know it's not my computer, and it's been happening to me for more than just last night. Even today it was slow to load into DG. Also was so slow to open a 2 comment question in the veggie forum I almost bagged out of trying when it suddenly opened. No other websites I am visiting are having this problem.

It seems slow again to me today, not sure if it's just my computer or not though, this isn't the same computer I'm usually on. All the other websites I've tried are running fine though so I think it's something here again.

Yep, mine has taken spells today too.

I think it was the server issue for me. I just tested the DG site in several areas and it's back to it's regular speed for me. Happy again! :)
