Is there an Advanced Search Problem?

Rock Hill, SC(Zone 7b)

I tried doing an Advanced PlantFiles Search for Hosta, Zone 7b, with sun parameters. There were no hostas listed as available for any of the sun possibilities: full sun, sun to partial shade, light shade, or partial to full shade. Did I discover a problem? Or did I do something wrong? I haven't used Advanced Search very often.

Apparently there is a problem. I just tried it with only the one parameter and got the "We apologize, but this search did not produce any results. Most likely your search parameters were too specific. Please hit the back arrow and try again, removing some of the details." I checked hostas and the check boxes are marked.

Google has a problem with advanced searches this am. Just throws you back to the basic search screen.

Thank you for checking on it. Will try another day.

I tried doing the hosta search and got similar results, but when I do a search and don't limit it to hostas (in other words, instead of clicking on Hostas, I clicked on the link that said show me all plants that meet the criteria), then I tried searching for several parameters and plenty of things popped up so something's still working. So then I went back to the advanced search to play around...this time I added in "dwarf" as an additional requirement along with zone 7b and sun to partial shade, and now it comes up with results.

So I think you need to put in at least one more other criteria besides zone and sun requirements, I think when you don't put in enough criteria it finds too many results and can't display them, although the error message that it gives you is obviously incorrect.
