Junes Blooms

I like looking at the pictures on this site. Open it and scroll down to the M's and check out all of the hoyas listed under the name meredithii. I'd love to get my hands on a few of them just for the leaves alone!!

So many ID's, so little time. Awanda I forwarded you a picture of H. juannguoiana, see if that isn't it. I can't really see the tips of the corolla but it looks like there is some pink on them, and it should smell fantastic.. :)

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks Tami! I heard from David Liddle and he thinks it's H. juannguoiana.

Blessings,
Awanda

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Awanda, To me your leaf looks like one of the many results from MMiyashiro crossing H. finlaysonii x H. incrassata...H. juannguoiana from DL has no outstanding venation...unless it is another clone other than the one I have from him.

I got to thinking about the leaf on this one too. Juann has a very smooth surface leaf. SO Boo Hoo, I guessed wrong :)

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Sofi...gorgeous photos of lobbii and pottsii!!! I really like the whole pottsii group!!!

London, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

I've now moved, and my hoyas are really showing off at the moment - I've got Publicalyx cv Pink Silver (right), Hoya Carnosa (with several umbels open) and now Hoya Australis ssp Australis open too - I thought it was supposed to be an autumn bloomer!!

Here's a closeup of the Australis ssp australis - it almost looks like it was made out of icing! Gorgeous flower....

Hills your australis is very pretty. Mine seems to be blooming almost non stop. It started last fall and has continued to bloom, and has even started budding up again. I'm not complaining though.

I have a new one blooming for me. This one is H. callistophylla, I read somewhere that the name may be incorrect on this one, I don't know if the Jury is still out. I also have another clone of H. callistopylla getting ready to open anyday. There both new bloomers for me so I am excited. IMO, it has a light melon scent to it.

Jeri

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Yes, Jeri...remember all of the lacunosas hanging in the middle of the greenhouse....well, they are all in bloom and I think it is addicting!!!

Here is H. pottsii IML 353...I know the flower is hard to see but the corollas are near light green and the coronas white with a speck of red in the middle

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

And this is what the leaves look like on that same plant...the leaves on the shady side!!!

Who needs drugs with that aroma around?

You know I'm partial to that plant. The ones I got from you are both doing good but no where near that. LOL!!!

h. acuta IML 0738 - I got this as a cutting this past spring from David Liddle. The fragrance is quite pleasant - reminds me of lacunosa. Pretty flowers, too.
