Does anyone water their plants with five gallon buckets with a small hole drilled in the bottom? I have plenty of buckets and am trying to figure out what size hole to drill in the bottom to let the water gradually seep out. I don't want it to run too fast and not too slow. Let me know please if anyone does this.
Thanks

I've never done it, but it sure sounds interesting....will watch this thread as it progresses...
I sometimes water this way especially my tomatoes in the middle of summer. I used the biggest drill bit in my box and drilled about 9 holes. They get gunked up , so it's a good idea to make the holes big to start with.
