Need new Header! Tulips are GONE!!!!!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Dave,

I am sure you have a more appropriate header stashed somewhere.
I am tired of looking at those pink Tulips. All I have now is all the yellowing foliage sprawled all over the place. I hate this phase!!!! It takes up all the space where I want to plant my perennials.

Let's move on to a more "Current in bloom" picture....Pretty please????

Thanks, Gita

Good call - thanks for the reminder! Our daffodils were done months ago down here but I wasn't sure when I could make the change for the rest of ya'll. :)

I love the new header.

Augusta, GA(Zone 8a)

Dave , while you are at it, I wish you do something about Snowball Bush, European Snowball 'Roseum' Viburnum opulus which seems to be the plantfiles photo of the century or at least the photo of infinite days. I like snowballs, but that one repeated ad infinitum is getting to me.

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

I also love the new header!

Southeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Love the new header, but I still have a few tulips going. I'm the only one I know who does though.

Farmerdill, thanks for pointing that out. It shouldn't appear in the newsletter again for a while. :)

Thanks, Dave. It's nice to have a change of "scenery"....Pretty soon some nice Roses would be nice.....:o)

Now--WHAT is the plant in the new header??? I can't quite ID it.

I believe it's Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora, and thanks to Garden GuyKin for a wonderful photo !!

Dea

Dea,

Thanks! I thought it was a Montbracia--that is in the same family. Martha Stewart Magazine had quite a spread on Crocosmias last month. Just beautiful!

Montbretia is just a common name for Crocosmia, so they're the same thing.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

How well I remember this photo! It is one of my all-time favorite photos on Daves Garden!!

Excellent, Garden Guy Kin!

Happy to hear you are enjoying the little Hummer!!
I Thank You Kindly for the compliments...
Dea is correct, Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora. Miss your tulips but the season is moving on

Wishing you all a memorable Summer in your Gardens!
