Alert members when no photo in PF

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

I was thinking it would be a neat function to have if when we are in our Journals we see a bold message/link that the journal entry we are looking at is in the PF and does NOT have a photo uploaded.

I always take photos to show progression of my plantings and upload them to my journal. If I saw that a PF photo was needed when I was uploading my own photos it'd be a snap to just click on the link and do an upload. This would help round out our PF data.

I'm thinking that the link that is shown on a journal entry that it exists in PF could have a bolded message next to that saying..."PF Pictures Needed - Click here to upload" The link would take you directly to "uploading a photo" page for the PF entry.

Just another late nite thought as I stumble through journal entries.

I think this is a great idea.

Anyone else? I'd really like to see this as I see it as a win-win.

Good idea, Brenda. I really want to get a journal started - can't seem to find the time. And Happy belated Birthday greetings to you!!

Yes, I see people posting pictures in the forums all the time and when I got to Plant Files to see more, and there is none, I often wonder why people aren't doing it. I guess they need a bit of a nudge!

OT - (hey, still got a dahlia from you. It's abt 2" high - other two died. :)

I also wonder if newbies don't know that they can add pics to PF and then are intimidated by the process. I know I was especially worried abt getting something wrong entered.

Nudge taken! For every plant I have photos of, I'll check PF to make sure there's a good shot of it there. If not, I'll post one.
