Why can't we have a forum for Zone 10b +?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

We have had a loooooooong discussion on another thread and there has been no response from 'der ubers'. We who live (read LIVE) in the high zones deal with many issues those who grow tropicals in other zones don't deal with. Let me count the ways...

I urge you, Dave, Terry and those others at the 'table' to consider our request for a forum for those of us growing and living in the higher climate zone. The list of forums involves small climate zones in the USA....specific plants (tomatoes...?????) and forums with limited appeal like Prayer Requests and horse lovers. We who live in these zones would like to share our commonality and our quirky lives (go ahead...ask). Our lives in the higher zone ARE unique (just ask us): our fruits and vegies are usually quite different, our ways of cooking are often unique - and these are just some of the aspects of our lives we would like to share: the Pacific Islands with the Carribean...with Australia...with Florida...

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze?

You might want to add your comments there for the best effect.

Hi Carol, isn't it funny how us island folk keep turning up! The more threads and feedbacks we can post in different areas the better...maybe we can reach our collective goal...i started one called, not another forum. have a look when you can....Shari and I have been posting some underwater images.....after all, there are plants underwater too and this is a plant site!!

I don't think starting a new thread really helps, the admins do keep track of how things are going on forum suggestion threads, obviously since I'm not Dave or one of the admins I don't know why you haven't got your forum yet, could be that there had been some initial interest but then people stopped posting to that thread for a while, now people are posting again but they may be waiting to see if there's sustained interest or if it'll die off again. Or it could be that Dave's just been really busy and hasn't had time to think about it yet. But I know from seeing other forums get created (or not) that they do pay attention to that thread. My advice would be continue posting on that original thread, it makes it much easier for the admins to pay attention to the level of interest if there's only one thread about it that they have to pay attention too.

Ecrane3 always a wise one to listen too. I seem to find good info where ever you are! Where did you get so wise from?

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

I don't know that I'm very wise--just spend way too much time on here so I've picked up a few things along the way!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

I just hope you are in favor of getting a forum going for us.....lol

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

Oh, I definitely hope you get your forum, I think it's only fair since none of the existing regional forums have the same sort of gardening challenges that you do so it would be nice for you to have a place like that to talk about things. And I'd probably lurk there and drool over some of the wonderful things you guys can grow!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL. I already am drooling over some of their plants.
