Changes in PlantFiles

When I do a search in PlantFiles from the DG homepage I no longer get a brief plant description with photo (if available) like this page: http://davesgarden.com/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=Sunflower&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search

I am getting this: http://davesgarden.com/pf/search.php?search_text=Sunflower

Did something get changed, or has it always been this way and I'm just confused? ☺

We made the switch last week, after we determined the generalized search just wasn't doing what it was supposed to do and it would take a lot of programming effort to correct the problems.

I'm having a hard time with the new PlantFiles, so I use Plant Scout whenever possible. I liked the old one better.

Just go down to the green bar " Click here to search for plants" type in the common name and you get original screen. I never have use that general search function " search plants" but there have been quite a few comments on it.

Is there a way to incorporate both type of searches/search results? I personally liked the results of the "original search" when searching out photos.

Actually the plantfile search is better, because you can check " show only entries with images" and don't have to wade through the many that don't.

I see.................if I go on to "Search Plants" rather than just "Search" I find the photos (all at once) which I'm looking for. Thanks! :-)
