Painted Horses

Speaking of interesting colors, remind me to send the owner of that horse a bottle of Mrs. Stewart's bluing for the tail.

Hey Jenks..not trying to get anyone all steamed up...I just remember an exhibition in 1989 in Boulder, CO at the Pearl St. Mall that had life-sized painted horses. Dunno if they were the forerunners of the Santa Fe bunch or not..or something totally different. I did also see the exhibition in Santa Fe as well...and have seen them on tour in various other cities as well. We spend alot of time out west and over the years my memory may be a bit fuzzy.

At any rate...sorry to offend anyone...I'm just gettin' old...:)

We have many penguins placed throughout the city. These were sold and installed to raise money for the Tulsa zoo.

wolflvr- I didn't mean to come off like that! I should think more before hitting "send" and be more clear! I apologize for the ruckus. I have always wanted to track down the forerunners of the The Trail. Which is the only way I'd ever found the Amarillo one. But I have not been able to find any others.

wrightie - let me find the rest of that series - they've made at least one Breyer model off them that I know of.

ah, here's the only other one I have saved, but there is one more of the respiratory system.

That looks like the near side of the same horse as above, eh? What a good boy. I wonder how long he had to stand there and endure it.

Very impressive!

Campobello, SC(Zone 7a)

no one, and I mean NO ONE show these to my DD if/when you ever show up to use the pool!

did the equine forum move? :-)

Social Circle, GA(Zone 8a)

Nope, can't find the reputed respiratory system, but it's called Anatomy in Motion The Visable Horse

Here's a new one:

Holy cannolli. Very groovy picture. Makes me wonder if this was put on by an Equine Science program at a univ.

Careful, Wrightie - there's a life-size horse for sale in town, with a man on it. It's been painted, but I think Jenks could do a better job.

Hey Jenks, maybe we could collaborate on a Forum horse... heh....
