Odd behavior on California Gardening

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

As of last night when I clicked on '3rd annual so cal ru part 2' the site would freeze up , nothing would work and the only way out was to close firefox and start over again. All the other forums seem to be working as usual. Any thoughts ?

That's strange - I have that thread is on my watch list and I've been following it (using Firefox) and I haven't experienced this problem.

Could you reboot your computer and try again, seeing if that resolves the problem?

If "reboot" means shutting off the computer and starting up again, I did that and there was no change. Once that forum comes up everything else on the screen is 'dead'. The other forums seem to be working OK. My lack of 'computerese' makes it quite perplexing.

edited: Noticed something different. The little blue line at the bottom right of the screen that shows how a thing is loading never gets to the end, and an entry in the lower left says "waiting for ad.yieldmanager.com". Other forums on Cal. Garden. work.

Don't know what happened, but it is working now.

1:17 It is still happening. However, I found that if I put the curser on the little diagonal thing in the lower right corner and make the screen bigger or smaller the problem goes away, till next time I click on that thread. Weird and confusing..

Something of a Eureka moment ! I went to Camino and Safari and it works fine on them. For some reason Firefox has something against that specific thread. Guess I'll have to switch to Camino for a browser.

I had a problem with foxfire yesterday afternoon. Reinstalled it and no problems since??

Grammy, silly question, but how do you "reinstall" Firefox ?

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Balvenie - carefully. :-)
Back up all your settings first.

Go to http://davesgarden.com/place/f/computer/all/j for the Computer Talk Forum for help with tech stuff. I do my own but am not experienced enough to help anyone else! That means I'm chicken!

Thank you for the suggestions. After learning the problem was on the Firefox end I would have gone to the computer forum had it not been for the fact that the problem ended as mysteriously as it began. Yesterday evening, and so far, everything seems to be back to "normal". That's the advantage of DG, there is always someone somewhere who knows the answer. Thanks again for your input.
