uh...................ahem......................who is bernice? lol.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't know anybody named Bernice. Maybe you got the name wrong?

Fate, TX(Zone 8a)

nope. it is written on the iris itself. lol. i don't think bernice is the one that came though. dawn said someone came in with a handful of these at some point and just handed them out for bernice. i think i will start a thread for round-up plant questions as it seems i am not the only one who might need clearing up.. thanks silverfluter and thank you for all of the plants that you sent me. barb

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Well I forgot to mention a few important items and plants, Sorry.

Thank you Trishann for the lovely decorated pot to match the one from last year, now i have a beautiful set.

Thank you Dave, for the giant potted Canna, can,t wait to find out what color it is.

Thank Smock for the 4 Rain Lilies, I planted them in my front bed, so when they come up I won't miss them.

Thank you Catbird, she gave me 2 potted Obedient plants, 1 potted blue giant Spiderwort and a hanging pot of Ruellia humilis, which I didn't have.
She was most generous with her plants we were all amazed.

I hope I haven't forgotten anyone.
Your friend
Josephine.

Tank you Dave, it looks very impressive.
Josephine.

It is indeed! :) Give it lots of water and for you up north, you might want to dig it up and bring it into the garage over the winter...

Will do Dave, I plan to propagate it and have two pots by my front door in the summer.

Josephine you wont have to propergate a Canna. It multiplies so fast you will have it everywhere ... and when this happens please share with me.:) I thought I had a vast collection of Cannas, but I have never seen a leaf like that ... very impressive.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

O.K. Sylvia, I will let you know, Maybe I will have them for our swap..

Magnolia, TX(Zone 8b)

Dave gave me one @ CSRU last fall. I put it in my Cattle Hoop GH this winter. Now I have 3-4 coming out of the 3-5g bucket. They are going in the ground this wkend! Thanks again, Dave!
Got to learn how to post pixs!!! Next yr's resolution!!! lol

Dallas, TX

Well Linda you can just bring me piece this weekend! lol Are you sure you want to put a Canna in the ground?

Magnolia, TX(Zone 8b)

Sylvia, I have about 6-8 different cannas in the ground (w/chicken wire when the deer get hungry) now! Cannas need ROOM!!! so I made a bed that is about 4' by 8' bed, that will be 4' x 12' this yr with only cannas. This bed has somewhere b/t 6 & 9 different cannas including some I got fr PHicks & Dave!
It will be purdy even if I have to buy another piece of 20' chicken wire!!!

I had the most wonderful time, but I quickly realized that I was too busy to take pictures, so I gave my camera to my daughter. The following pictures are a plant swap from the prospective of a 14 year old.
