Three - one covers the front and the other two cover the back yard. I was trying to eliminate the need for my neighbor to watch my garden when I go on vacation. The last couple of times she forgot and I returned to a massacre! I couldn't say anything, because she means well - watering just seems to escape her. Half the time I water her tomatoes on the property line and she's home!

Is it possible to set up a hose and an ordinary sprinkler on a timer? I mean - just for while we are on vacation in August?

sure. Same concept - hose, sprinkler and timer. I got my timer online http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000ALPLF/104-0604582-3398319 - I got it on sale and I had coupons, but you have the idea.

ok, I met Andy and Sarah yesterday!!!! got many plants inclunding some fancy daylillies....Andy is really very generous... I saw the chicken & hen snikers planter... really cute! and the 30 year old pony tail plant... I was shocked.... how can such a HUGE plant be in such a small pot!!!!

now, my dear friends I need places where I can get daylillies to plant together with my roses... at affordable prices .... suggestions please... not the real fancy ones(right now I can't afford expensive ones)

Andy told me that not a lot of people like Stella D'oro (not sure about the spelling) daylillies... I love them...

oh thanks so much!!!! I appreciate... I am so excited that my garden will be a true friendship garden... I have plants from Laurawege (the one that got me into gardening!!!!), Steph (CA) Melva (TX), now Andy and Linaria seeds that I am dying to plant .... and now more... oh I love this....
I will post a list of what I started in flats... and if you guys want please let me know ok... I hope to do that this weekend... take inventory!!!!

Michaela, remember that lady that came with with her 2 kids to see my sister??? well, my sister talk her into coming and cooking for us today... can you believe it??? she is so sweet, and came and we had great food... we talked and it was really great... too bad you didn't came today!!!!! next time... and Alec had a great time playing with the kids... wow... if we do the round up here, I will ask her to cook something for us!!!! and my mom and sister will be here... it's going to be great!!!!

Gram, I met Timberline today (Deb) she lives in my neighbohood... and her 2 daugthers are so beautiful... Deb was kind enough to get 2 burgundy iceberg for me at the NE rose society sale yesterday... so she came with gifts of roses... we had a good time too!!!! I am blessed!!!!!

Pretty soon I am going to meet all of you!!!!! hoooooohoooo!!!!! I can just imagine...

here's the gerber daisies my kids got me for my b'day. the color matches my kitchen decor (so you can tell my son didn't pick them out)

and yesterday my very best friend since we were 15 came (she was working Saturday) and brought HER very good friend, who is a lovely person. they brought a beautiful bouquet of mini carnations, a jar of my favorite applesauce, pickles and fancy breakfast cocoa. that's how well she knows me :0)

so it was like a whole new birthday! and there was plenty of cake left. gave them a tour of my new gardens. my friend was widowed a few years ago and her DH, who we were also close friends with had given her a Double Delight rose on one of their anniversaries. She told me recently when we were talking about my rose garden that it had died on her one winter. So I ordered one for her when I was ordering my roses for my new garden. Should be here this week. I'm going to dedicate the Double Delight in my garden to our friendship (we once had a bowling team called 'Close Friends').

A special day with special friends - who could ask for more!

my mom, sister and nephew are coming... things are finally all ok, and the only thing is getting their tickets... I just hope they come way before the CA RU.... cause I want to go... I am not loosing my tickets...!!!! and since they are going to be here forever I don't feel that guilty!!!!
