I've been asked if there is a Christmas Tree forum. I know there are many people with acreage who grow Christmas trees and would like to discuss sources, shaping, fertilizers, trends, etc.

I think the stuff in Go Gardening is for if you want to find a Xmas tree farm nearby, what growin was asking for is a forum to talk about growing Xmas trees.

If you can't get a whole new forum for it, you might try starting some threads in the Market Growers forum, a lot of the talk over there is people who grow things for farmers market but I seem to remember at least one post asking about the best trees to do the little Xmas trees in a pot, and I think anything you're growing with the intent of selling it is fair game over there.

I was going to suggest the Market Growers forum for starters. If we need to start a separate forum for conifers, we can definitely consider that, too - but my guess is the Christmas tree growers' discussions would be more "shop talk" than "tree talk".....
