I was amazed at all the uses-and YES they work!! Plus one of the original founders of WD-40 says there is nothing in it that will harm you..
When you read the "shower door" part, try it. It's the first thing that has ever cleaned that spotty shower door. If yours is plastic, it works just as well as glass. It's a miracle! Then try it on your stove top... Voila! It's now shinier than it's ever been. You'll be amazed.
Here are some of the uses:

19) Bug guts will eat away the finish on your car if not removed quickly! Use WD-40!

37) Florida's favorite use is: "cleans and removes love bugs from grills and bumpers."
38) The favorite use in the state of New York WD-40 protects the Statue of Liberty from the elements.
39) WD-40 ATTRACTS FISHSpray a LITTLE on live bait or lures and you will be catching the big one in no time. Also, it's a lot cheaper than the chemical attractants that are made for just that purpose. Keep in mind though, using some chemical laced baits or lures for fishing are not allowed in some states.

P. S. The basic ingredient is FISH OIL.
WD-40 and its MANY uses
Fascinating! However, I'd be cautious about using it on the barbeque or the stovetop, because my can of WD-40 bears the warning: EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE.
OHHHH I can't wait to try the slide one!!!! My 5 year old will love that!!
I use WD40 to clean my motorcycle chain before I lube it.
I also use it to remove the wax from my counters after I've waxed my eyebrows! If it will take that stuff off it will take ANYTHING off!! LOL!!
Nicole
The crayon on the wall is good--what about pen marks on a wood coffee table? My 2 year old can't seem to stay on the paper.
Any suggestions? Elizabeth
Elizabeth - have you tried the Mr. Clean Erasers? I have never tried them on a coffee table but they sure take crayon off the wall!!! They will leave a white residue but just follow behind with a wet cloth! Good luck!
Nicole
I don't know how anybody can say there's nothing in WD-40 that will harm you, in fact more than 90% of the ingredients are hazardous according to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) on their own website. The fumes aren't good for you, for sure. It's not suspected of causing cancer but it ain't harmless. The main ingredient is aliphatic petroleum distillates.

I've used it for years but I avoid breathing it as much as possible, plus it kind of stinks. And I definitely don't recommend cleaning stovetops with it. Like June said, EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE, believe it.
I'd be careful about putting it on the belts also, use belt spray not WD-40. The WD-40 will dry and crack them.
Nicole- I did try that. Bought it just for that. I might not have scrubbed hard enough. I was told cooking oil also. No luck!! I might just have to redo the thing when he stops the markings.
I wouldn't use wd-40 and smoke. I guess it's up to one self what to use it for.
ejennings ever try to hairspray? Also next time he wants to use the table put down parchment or butcher paper first. Few strips of tape to keep it in place and it doesn't matter if he marks off the coloring page or not.
Well darn it Elizabeth!! You could try scrubbing harder - or if you are getting desperate I would try the WD-40. Crossing fingers you don't end up with crayon AND a stained table!!
My son whose 5 never really liked coloring. I don't know why! I still enjoy it! LOL!! When we go out to eat mommy colors and he watches! :)
Nicole
I'm more determined than ever to get it off now, but in the mean time I'm iving the paper and tape a try-thanks araness!!
If-oops- WHEN I get it off I'll let everyone know.
I'll try hairspray during naptime :) Elizabeth
Well if that doesn't work color ALL your tables! VIOLA! It's art! :)
Here is a report from Snopes about these uses. Some may be okay, some are quite "iffy." From personal experience I would suggest caution when using it on linoleum. I used it a couple of times in the slide track for the patio door and didn't notice that some spray was clinging to the linoleum. Now there is a brown stain that nothing seems able to remove.
