I haven't any idea how I screwed up again but I left negative feedback for somebody that was supposed to be a positive. My comments are very positive but there's a big red x in front of her user name glaring at me. How do I correct this. I think I did once before but I don't recall how I fixed it.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Feedback mistake
I remember reading that if you add another feedback it over rides the first one.....
I think, not positive, that the last time I did this there was another way. If I can't figure it out, I'll go add another feedback with exactly what I said the first time in hopes it bumps the other own with the wrong rating.
If it's trader-to-trader feedback, just replace what you wrote (same process, pretty much.)
If it's a Garden Watchdog company, use the "Contact Us" link to send us the name and details, and we'll take care of it for you ;o)
Nope, it was a person. I totally screwed up somehow and gave her a negative. I'm happy with what I wrote about her, I'm just not happy with the negative I gave her accidentally. That was supposed to be a positive.
I just figured it out. I have a new computer and I can't for the life of me figure out how to enlarge the type. I can barely see what I am doing. There was a link at the top that I could click on to edit the feedback and it allowed me to change the negative to a positive without touching what I had written.
Thanks all for helping me. Problem was me. I couldn't see the area where I could enter to edit. It was there all the time.
You can change it. I just checked it out with mine.
Go to that person's page and go to leave feedback for them. It will bring up the feedback you left previously and you can change the rating, and edit the wording if you wish.
Hi Joan, we were posting at the exact same time. I found it. The problem was me. You don't by any chance know how to change the size of font to large do you? I'm using that new IE. I need to load Mozilla. At least there I think I know how to change the size of the font so that I can read.
Equil, you know where it says 'file edit view tools help' in the top left? Click on 'view', and you'll see 'text size'.
This is for IE 7, not sure if there's a newer one or not.
I used to have that option with IE6, but now I don't. This is extremely frustrating. I'll have to maybe go on line. I can't even figure out how to figure out which version of IE I have right now but it certainly isn't IE6. Thanks for trying, I'm going to have to get some help with this.
If you have IE&, you need to hit the alt key to bring up the tools, help, file, etc, bar.
Three G, now that you mention it, I do remember changing preferences or something so they were visible all the time... I rely on the 'Edit' -'Find on this page' a lot and panicked when I loaded IE7 and couldn't find it.
OK, I hit the alt key and it appeared but then when I started typing it disappeared. I'm looking for that big A that used to be at the top of the screen that allowed me to change the size of the print. I don't see it.
How do I change preferences so that the tools help and other goodies are visible all the time? I also had a button up there that was a magnifier. I could download a photo somebody took, save it to my desktop, enlarge it, then use the magnifying glass thingie on it. I need that back really bad if possible. This new computer wiped out all my add ons for Mozilla too. I hate to say this but I liked everything the way it was. I don't particularly care for this IE whatever it is because I can't find anything.
On mine, to the right is a little button called settings...in there is everything you should need to do.....
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I can read again. Thank you very much threegardeners. I couldn't find the tab for settings but after I clicked alt, I found text size in a drop down underneath view.
Does anyone know how to keep that bar visible all the time so I don't have to hot alt?
go to tools, click on menu bar...it appears and stays put.
edited to ay not the tools that comes up by the alt button..but on the same line as the tabs to the right there is a tools button...that one...

An even bigger sigh! Thank you again so very much. I'm typing right now and it didn't disappear.
I'm sure I'm pushing my luck with you right about now but you don't by any chance know how to find my magnifier so I could add that back on do you? I tried the tool and checked out add ons but it wasn't in there.
If you don't know, that's ok. I am so appreciative of having type I can read again without sitting here with reading glasses and a magniying glass. My husband thought I was nuts when he saw that and told me to change the settings. Easier said than done until a few minutes ago.
is that the little blue thing way up on the top right corner? Looks like a little magnifier? If not, you got me stumped..for a minute anyway...
never mind..thats the search thing..I'm still looking for your magnifier....

I see that little blue thing underneath the red box with the x in it. I clicked on the little blue thing and see something called live search then weather channel then find on this page and some other words that mean nothing to me.
I'm wondering if that magnifying glass that I had wasn't some sort of a third party software that attached itself to IE and now it's been so long that I have no recollection of how it got there. It was one of those things that just always was if that makes any sense to you.
makes perfect sense...I'm lookin around to see if I can find it for you
I think I found it...bottom right corner, above the time
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo!
All the way up to 400%!
Before I only had up to 200%
Glad I could help!!!! :)))
I love a happy ending!
I have to laugh, just when I thought everything was going hunky dory, I had big problems with my files transfer wizard. So much so that I am here peeking from work on a dial up. If this isn't the pits, I don't know what is. No old computer at home, no new computer at home, and we're talking major withdrawals again.
This time, I called the geek patrol. Here's hoping they get me online in the next few days. I do have a "how to" list I began compiling for them. Poor people who got stuck with me. Say a prayer for them!
And, many many thanks to you threegardeners, I was able to see the screen without struggling thanks to you! The magnifying tool was the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned.
oh dear...hope they get you back on line again soon......I know I would go insane without this puter........survived 43 years without it...now I'm hopelessly addicted!!!
Glad I could help a little bit anyways.
Funny you should mention how long we survived with out computers only to go nuts when something happens to one of ours! I'm in the same boat!
