Garden Whimsy Exchange Discussion and Questions Part 3 : )

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Lin, I have an old cast iron Bathtub that we had in the pasture for watering the horses. As soon as it gets warm enough I'll be sandblasting, painting and hooking up the copper piping and a circulating pump. Can you say "water feature". I'm going to take photos and document it.

I went back and double checked the other day and noticed I had missed one, too.

Nancy, I'm sending you a little thank you for hosting this wonderful exchange. Don't bother to say no, it's packed up addressed and will be shipped tomorrow.
Rose_Petalzz Your whimsey will be shipped tomorrow too.
KayKay, I think I missed you, So I will have yours in the mail on Friday too.

I know it's been a while, but didn't want to post this by itself, so posting it here.

Colie sent me a cool seed-mat, preshaped to fit the top of a pot.

I planted it kind of late, but here it is now! It's lovely, don't you think?

Wow! That is really pretty Nan! I've never tried those seed mats but have thought about it! Now that I see how nice they turn out I might have to be on the lookout for them next Spring! I love that combination of coleus & impatiens.

I didn't get in on this, because I don't visit this forum often, but here is my favorite "whimsy" - a rooting jar that always makes me smile..it is a little lizard climbing up the side, he just took a bite out of the rim of the jar. I got it at a flea market. Sometimes I use it for teeny flower arrangements.
