Landscaping database?

I posted this question/suggestion on the Curb Appeal forum, and I wanted to bring it to the whole community to see what everyone thought:

A couple of years ago, I was searching the web for landscaping ideas. After hours and hours and hours spent online, I came up with very few websites (BHG being the only one worth mentioning). It was very frustrating. At that time, I was wishing that there was something somewhat similar to the Plant Files that I could turn to.

I'm wondering what the interest would be in creating our own?

Yes, there are thousands of pictures here the forums, but anyone searching through would be either overwhelmed, or have a headache real fast :)

Is this something that you all would be interested in?

I already said I was interested on the other thread, but I'll say it again here...I think this would be great!

I would definitely be interested in this type of a feature! Starting around May, and continuing over the next 2 or 3 years, I will be doing some major landscape work and rework. This could be a godsend. BHG is okay - certainly better than nothing - but this would be our opportunity to create what we want - within reason :-)

Sounds like a good idea to me. I tend to "create-on-the-fly" based on availability in the trade for a landscape design though.

I found Dave's a year ago when I needed the same help. BHG was all that was out there. WE NEED THIS!!!

I think this is a great idea. I won't have alot to leave there but I will take alot away!
