Firefox question

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Everytime I log into Dave's and each time I open a page, I keep getting this error message..."onlook failed 55 1." I have to keep clicking the box off each time. Really annoying. What is the problem?

Are you absolutely sure that's the message you are getting? I googled for that error code and found nothing at all.

Yes, Dave, that is the error message. It says ALERT at the top and then the box says "onlookup failed 55 1." I might have typed it wrong on my first post. But just checked and the one I typed is the error I'm getting. Thank you.

A Google search didn't turn much up:

I think it's best that you run a virus checker on your computer.

I have McAfee and it checks it for me. It's only doing this on Firefox. But I'll run the checker just to be sure. Thanks Dave.

Thanks. I Googled and couldn't find any information on that. A few people posted about it elsewhere but no answers. It seems like a rare bug with your browser or computer...

Dave, I still have no banner with DG. I've turned the Norton adblocker off and cleaned out my cookies, but no banner and no colors on some other sites. Life is just blah. any ideas?

It's funny because it only occurs when I'm on Firefox. What do you think about uninstalling and reinstalling firefox? I'm running McAfee right now. Nothing found...YET! I'm using MSN Explorer right now and it's not coming up with that error...has to be Firefox, no?

On one thread -- http://stw-proxy.hexten.net/forum/read.php?f=2&i=2839386&t=2839386&v=f&PHPSESSID=3fa6ee07996896212c23de961f3bf819 -- the user said the error goes away if he deletes cookies specific to the site where he gets the errors. You might try going through Firefox's options and deleting just your DG cookies, then letting DG leave a new cookie on your computer.
