How do I remove a picture

I accidently uploaded the wrong picture. The little thumbnails are difficult to tell apart. I know how to edit my want list but not how to edit the picture I attached.

Is the image added to BugFiles, PlantFiles, or a post in a discussion thread?

You can click on the red "report an error" button (in BugFiles and PlantFiles) while you're viewing the picture and let us know it needs to be removed. (Be sure you don't delete the URL the system inserts into your message - that's how our editors can retrace your steps and get to the image.

If it was in a forum post, please send us a link to it - either here, or use the "Contact Us" link near the bottom of every page - and we'll remove it.

If you added it to your profile, you can replace it with another photo by uploading another one. (I don't remember off-hand if you can simply delete it, but I don't think so.)

baagrant, Because this is in your want list in the trade list, I find the easiest way is to go to the entry and click on "view" which is on the far right side above "edit". Now move down to "clone" which is just below line "edit" and click on "clone" The next question will be "How many clones of this item do you wish to produce?" say one, and then the next question is "Do you want to bring all the entries and images over from the parent item?" say no, as that would clone it with the wrong photo attached. Now you have a new entry exactly like the original with the wrong photo, now go back and delete the one with the wrong photo. Then go and put the correct thumbnail in the newly cloned one. It is very simple, far simpler than explaining it. I use this often as I too can't see well. Patti
