Garden Whimsy Exchange Discussion and Questions Part 2 : )

Well It looks like JanetS will be getting a whimsy from me : ) I will get it out to you in tomorrows mail Janet.Now if a few more sign up I will again too so I can send some more : ))

Oh, I feel so *blessed* today!

I received two packages from two wonderful ladies, Ruby and Nancy. ((((((HUGS TO YOU, as well as Colie and Sally for my wonderful gifts!))))))
(I received these at work and do not have my camera with me, so apologies...but I will get photos of all my great gifts all together sometime this weekend.)

From Ruby, *the cutest* wind chime, it's a 'whimsical' (yet very realistic looking!)snail.... (I love it, Ruby, Thank you!!(Ü)....
From Nancy I received two wonderful and very realistic looking pot hangers, a frog and a turtle....I love them, Nancy....Thank You!! (Ü)
(You'll all love them too, I'll have to get that photo posted ASAP!)

Can't wait to get these home and give them their very visible 'places of honor'!!

I also received some plants that I'd ordered....two dischidia (my most recent obsession) and a bonus hoya, to boot!

It's also my boy's birthday...he's 12, and he loved his gift, (a 'Havoc-Heli'...small remote control helicopter) which made me happy, as he's been kind of hard to please, lately:(
We have a fun evening planned with 'Family Math and Science Night' at the school, a good (albeit fast!) dinner and some birthday cake (made this morning at 5:30 AM!!)
Two birthdays and a baby shower in one week's time.....these are my reward!

I wanted to add another not to my thank you to Amanda...I was cleaning off my table and although I did read the card you enclosed with my suncatcher, I didn't realize the paper it is printed on it not from trees! I have never seen Tree-free Greetings before, and I was very impressed with how toughtful that is, for you to purchase these cards! I will certainly be on the look out for them myself. Thank you for the sweet sun catcher and for alerting me to something I had not idea even existed..lol Beautiful horse on the card too...lol

Sounds like you have a busy and rewarding life Nan.My kids have both long flown from the nest,but your story takes me back to the good ol'days.Seems like only yesterday! LOL Yes Life Really Is Great : ) Thanks for sharing.

Yes, Nancy...life gets hectic, but when it does I have to remember how grateful I am (and if I'm not, I *should be*) that I'm simply *blessed*.....don't need a lot....just enough! LOL!!

Oh what fun!!! I had a package in my mailbox this morning. I was delighted when I opened it and found two things that I really love. The first thing is a silver beaded bracelet with gardening charms on it. So cute. Dispatcher1 is the great sender of whimsies to me. Also in the package is a rock with the message: Iive well, laugh often and love much. I have always loved that saying but never had anything with it on it. So Lou, I am thrilled. It won't make it to the garden. It is going to sit in a place of honor in my kitchen garden window. I already have one that says "Beauty" in the window.

I just signed up for number 3. I will try to check back before dead line and maybe sign of for number 4. Again, thank you cedarnest for starting this exchange. It has been fun.

Lou: I kinda think a couple of people may have dropped out .... not posting anymore. I've signed up 6 times and received 2 Whimsy's ... one from Pepper23/Amanda and one from Bettygail. I don't mind if I don't receive something in return, it's just fun reading all the posts and seeing all the photos and how excited everyone gets! We all take a chance on these Exchanges/Swaps whether it be with seeds, plants, rooting jars, or whimsy's! Some are more fair than others, but it's just the chance we take when we sign up. Cedarnest asked that all Whimsy's be mailed out by April 7th I think? So, you may get a boatload all at once! LOL.

Hmm I hope thats not the case : ( However I have noticed a few are absent in posting too Lin.In all fairness hopefully everyone who signed up will honor their commitment and send to the person who posted below them by the 7th of April.Like you said Lin, maybe they are just holding off sending until the deadline.... and that is fine. Just please everyone don't leave your pal hanging.I think we have a really great bunch of people participating.Make sure and get those whimsys sent. We want to see all smiles here : ))

In the off chance that someone doesn't receive a whimsy by the 9th of April(allowing for mailing at deadline) please..please..let me know and I will send out make up whimsys ( not real makeup..more like gizmos..lol) to whomever hasn't received from their sender :))

Kelly: I understand totally .... Life Sure Does Get Hectic at times! Especially when you are young and have children at home! I was never blessed with children, but I DO understand what it is like, trying to do a thousand things at once! As women, we always seem to put everything and everyone ahead of ourselves ( which is just a woman thing) and sometimes Life gets in the way! The everyday rush, rush of life can get very stressful ... I learned long ago to slow down, take some "Me" Time .... to De-Stress! Always works and makes life easier for everyone else around me too! I don't feel guilty anymore when I have a little "Retail Therapy" .... buying some frivilous little thing just for me, or as I did on my shopping trip today, "Whimsy's" for friends!

Take care of yourself, so you will be able to take care of your family.

Hi ladies,, if you havn't heard from me it is just that I have sent out my 4 whimsys! I have heard from three of them,, I hope the fourth gets it o.k.

I think everyone is just busy and will get them out by the 7th of April.. gee,, it is a way off, right?

This has been incredibly fun, and I have recieved the most pretty whimsys!!!!
