Oh Victor!
Today I had to lift quite a few daylilies since the horrid weed, Celandine, had invaded their space. I even ditched the soil for fear of seeds and those tiny baby bulbs and replaced it with fresh soil. Tonight it rained for about two hours. Funny how little things like rain for transplants can make a gardener happy.
Another storm!
wow! seems like everyone is really starting to venture outdoors and enjoy spring! We were outside all day Saturday and most of Sunday which = slight sunburn!! Forget this time of year how strong the sun is! went out this am and bought some sunscreen! now I know better weather must be coming! :)
Hurray! I felt slightly burned, too. Thanks for the timely sunscreen reminder.
Sorry no pics yet on the baby bunnies-been so crazy around here everytime I see my daughter I don't think about the camera!
Heard the frogs peeping last night for the first time this year! Although I still have a few snow birds, which I keep asking to leave(thinking the weather will improve when they are gone!) Have a pair of barn swallows checking out the open shed, they usually have two or three nest every year-great mosquito hunters!!
We put up fencing for the garden over the weekend. We have two four-foot cattle fence stapled to poles, making an eight-foot fence. Still have to put garden fence around the bottom which we bury about 12-18 inches. It's approx 50' X 50'. Saw a woodchuck running in the back field on Friday-I think he figures his spring salad is coming!lol Hopefully we have foiled his dinner plans!
