the lastest post times ????

The lastest post showing are for march 16 and that is still an hour away , I think. And they won't allow me to look at what is listed but rather brings up a random PF file.

Do the links actually bring up something in Plant Files for you? Everyone on the other thread gets sent to the page that lists all the forums whenever we click on one of the links. I just noticed that the times are wrong for me too, except for me it says March 15th 11:39PM (probably because I'm in a different time zone than you). But since it's only 8:10PM here right now there's definitely something funny going on.

ecrane, your post shows as 8:11 to me.

If i click on subject it sends me to the forum page
if I click on forum it sends me to a random pf page

time warp, I can only think that these are being post dated and got posted earlier than expected.

Ecrane 3, It is a no go with requiring plant zones under user's names as DG only requires a user to create an online name and email address to register and DG does not wish to include the plant zone automatically. I wish something as useful and valuable could be required.

Sue--it's not the posts in the threads that are the problem, those show up correctly, it's when you go to your home page and scroll to the section where it lists the most recent posts, there you'll see that the only things that show up are PF pictures forum entries and the times are messed up. It seems to be a bug with the PF pictures and not with anything else.

But if you look up one of the new photos in the actual PlantFile page, it does show up with the correct time.

Home page 'most recent posts' listing time is 12:39 AM March 16, 2007 for my time zone.

In the PlantFiles actual page, it says the photo was submitted at 8:39 PM March 15, 2007 for my time zone, which is about the time all this started happening for me tonight.

Also, the photos released don't show up in the PlantFiles Photos forum until that time has passed.

I tried to experiment last night to see if everything is okay again once the actual time passed the photo release time in the 'most recent posts', and I *think* it did, but I wasn't actually here when it happened. I dozed off and didn't get back here until after it was already okay again.

Joan, I bet you're right, everything's always messed up when I go to bed for the night but then is fine when I get up the next morning. But I can't test the theory--everything that's showing up in the latest posts right now has a time of 11:37 or 11:39PM (in my time zone) and I have to work tomorrow so I won't be staying up that late to find out! I see the same thing as you when I go to Plant Files and find the picture that way except the time is an hour different because I'm in a different time zone (but shouldn't you be 2 hours ahead of me? Things are showing up as 11:39 in my recent posts list and 7:39 in the actual pic)

Ahh, gotcha! Yep, all recent posts say 11:39. Hope it's gets fixed soon, probably driving Dave nuts with all these weird things and everyone coming to report it.

Oh...I figured you were on Central. Could have sworn when I drove across the country (when I was moving from OH to CA) that mountain time didn't start until I got into Wyoming (I was coming across SD, not ND). I don't actually know anything--just going off of my cell phone which seemed to understand which time zone I was in! :)

Only the SW corner of North Dakota is on Mountain time, and I'm in that corner somewhere. LOL

I'm curious about this bug, and trying to determine if I'm gonna stay up to test my theory or not. It's not for two more hours, so I could sleep for about an hour and 45 minutes and come watch, but I know me. After I beat the alarm clock up about 10 times it will be way past time to check again. Not to mention what kind of a mood DH would be in by that point. ;)

It's Friday tomorrow, so I can get through one day at work a little more tired than usual, right?

Making a post now that 12:39 AM has passed for me, just to see if the home page 'latest posts' changes. I have to make this post because I think I'm the only one up.

Well, 12:39 AM has come and gone for me, and now the 'latest posts' is updating again and I can click on the PlantFile photos in the 'latest posts' and it takes me to the photo, rather than the listing of forums.

Guess your theory was right! If you go to the other thread (the one I linked to in my first post) it sounds like Dave's figured out why this is happening so you shouldn't have to stay up so late tonight!
