What is causing this?

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

I have two threads that keep coming up as being new, and when I click on them they both take me to the page that has all of the forums listed on it. Every time that I click on them to look at them, they just keep coming up under my watched threads. They are both PF photos, ones that I uploaded about a week ago. Why is it taking me to the page with all of the different forums listed on it?

I have the same thing. Not sure why.

Well I just checked it again, and it is right. It's actually going to the photo of the plant I uploaded last week and not the the main forums page. I guess the bugs were all fixed.

These are all related to a change I made yesterday morning on the server. The server has previously been set to Eastern Time, which meant that every 6 months when the time changed, the server changes, too, causing me all kinds of grief.

I set it to UTC yesterday and that meant jumping the clock forward 6 hours. So, some things got stuck for 6 hours. By now everything should be caught up and there shouldn't be anymore oddities.

Thanks Dave. I knew I could count on you to get it fixed.

Hey Dave, I just got two more of those post of PlantFile photos but when I click on them it takes me back to the page where all the forums are listed. Is this something else wrong? I'm not complaining, I just thought you would like to know.

Same thing's happening to me, 2nd night in a row.

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

Me too...

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

It makes me feel a little better knowing that I'm not the only one.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

It happens here too.

Lakemont, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm getting this too.

Is this still happening? Can you give me the steps to take to see the error? I can't see it.

It's fine now--it seems like it happens right when the night's plant file pictures are being released, but then by the next morning it's fine. I was online around 8:30-9 Pacific time last night and the problem was still there then but it's fixed now.

Ditto what ecrane3 said.

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Mine is working fine now. Like ecrane said, it only happens at night. But hopefully it is fixed now.

Thanks,
Jesse

ecrane3, that's a good report - thanks! I see what is causing the trouble, and I'll get it fixed.

best,

Here is a screen shot. They popped on the thread watcher last night about 11:30, I'm assuming when they were released. I was on until about 2 last night, they were still there. I just logged in today for the first time about 30 minutes ago, and they were still there, but, now after I've clicked on them they're gone.

Mine resolved itself as well.

THANKS Dave & co!

It's doing it again...my pic of Grevillea 'Red Hooks' shows up in my list of watched threads with new posts, I click on it and it takes me to the list of all the forums, and when I go back and refresh my home page, it still shows up in the list of new posts.

I don't have any more pics pending so this is the last day (at least until I get out with the camera again!) that I'll be able to tell if this is still happening or not.

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

It is doing it again to me too. It is doing exactly the same thing to me that it is doing to you ecrane. I wonder why this keeps happening?

I think I have the same problem as when try to look at The latest posts at DG
PF Pictures Daylily 'Tennyson' Seedsower 0 0 Mar 16, 2007 2:39 AM I get this . patti http://davesgarden.com/forums/f/pdb/all/

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I don't have any threads in my watched list.....it happens to me when I click on a PF thread in the most recent posts box.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

I'm getting the PF thing too, I have three new images that now show at the top of my home page, click on them and it goes to the list of forums. Glad it didn't submit more than three, it would take up my whole home age otherwise.

That is what is happening with me Calif_Sue. This is the third night in a row. It only happens to me at night.

Jesse

Okay, I think I finally figured out what was causing this... The database server had to be restarted to recognize the new timezone setting on the server. This is now done and we should be good to go (for real this time). Please let me know if you see any oddities tonight!

Thanks so much Dave.

Would that have fixed the premature release of the Bloom.com daily for tomorrow? I signed on at 8pm tonight and it was there at that time.
