would there be enough interest for a plant-doctor forum ?

Gent, Belgium(Zone 8a)

I wonder if there would be enough interest to have a special forum for diagnosis, care, treatment and prevention of illnesses of plants ?

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I have read loads of threads with questions, and solutions all throughout DG. It would be nice to have one forum that we could refer back to if we had those problems in the future. I would give it the thumbs up!

Thank you sheila for your vote, but only two votes is of cause too meagre to ask for a new forum!

Isn't that what the Garden Foes forum is for? That includes plant diseases as well as solving insect problems so I guess I don't see how what you're suggesting is different than what we already have. I also think people are going to continue to post problems in other forums, if you have a sick African Violet for example you're probably going to get better help if you post in the AV forum rather than Garden Foes (or the new forum you're proposing) so I don't think that people will centralize their questions any more than they do now.

I see what you mean, Ecrane! I didn't know about the existence of a forum like the garden foes forum until you mentioned it. I think it never called my attention because I didn't know what 'foes' meant. (my native language isn't English!). Now I looked it up in my dictionary and I understand why there wouldn't be really a necessity for another forum! Thanks for pointing that out to me!

I think Dave must have just updated the name--it's showing up in my favorite forums list now as Garden Pests & Diseases--much clearer!

I did that - I guess I didn't realize how obscure "foes" would be, so I thought I'd make the name a little clearer for all ;o) Thanks for the suggestion, bonitin!

Thank you Terry, i've noticed the change you made of the name of the forum.
Much clearer indeed!

Hadn't noticed the "garden foes" at all, if I did, I probably thought varmits! Thanks Terry, I will check it out.

There are varmints in there, too!
